Hey this is the same shotgun I'm getting in a couple of weeks but I plan on going for the Remington 870 sbs as my primary home defense weapon. I would just like a smaller version that will give me more options of were i can keep it in the house. Lot of people in this house so I have to be strategic as to where I store my weapons. Any suggestions?
@MindBeyondAverage Nice choice I would recommend getting the 1 round mag extension bumping it up to 5+1 and the Tacstar side saddle. I would look into getting a Stack-On In Wall Cabinet. I currently have an M1 Carbine my 870 and 3 pistols in mine and still room for more. You can have your weapons loaded and ready for action but you don't have to worry about unauthorized access. It was easy to install just cut drywall between wall studs and goes right in, you secure to the studs from the inside.
@guitarzNgunz HAHAHA! I read my comment and thought, "thats exactly my case". Forgot I wrote it. So because of the $200 tax, I am going to go with the 18" barrel. I guess its the very one you have. I am gonna get the birdshead grip and a forend with a rail so I can attach a foldable grip on it. I think thats all I'm gonna do to it. I was actually planning on doing the in wall thing but I might move soon. Head side of the bed's ok I guess considering I'd need to get to it quick if needed.
@MindBeyondAverage I would suggest another route then since your moving soon. Look into the "Loc Box" made by Mossberg it'll work for the 870 even with the mods your planning on doing and it's inexpensive. You can take it out at night and have it loaded next to the bed, that's what I do. It's nice to be able to have it secured when you leave the house.
@guitarzNgunz Dude this is THE ONE. I have just the place to put it too. Thanks a lot for the help. There's a beam in my room across ceiling so it will be kept well out of reach of the kids but just low enough for my reach. Thanks again.
@MindBeyondAverage Right on man glad I could help, that's what I was considering getting at first but later decided on the security cabinet. Cool and simple design and it's inexpensive.
@MindBeyondAverage Just go to Amazon and type in Stack-On IWC-55 Full-Length In-Wall Cabinet. It's only $69.00 shipped to your door, it's well worth it because your responsible for your weapons.
@MrSeafoo Thanks man I just ordered a Winchester 1" nylon sling recently Cabelas has them for $4.98 it's just a basic 2 point sling but a great price couldn't pass it up! And I ordered a Buttstock shell holder off Amazon it holds 5 shells made by Allen Co. $6.09 haven't got it yet but it has good reviews. Thanks for watching sub my channel if you haven't already I'll be posting an updated review soon of the 870.
Good job keeping it simple and functional and not scrapping the stock for a cheesy pistol grip only. I have a friend with a strap under the pump - really helps to maintain a good grip. Nice work.
@ShhhhhhListen Thanks man yeah I believe in keeping it simple only adding the necessity's. Are you referring to a fore end strap on your buddies shotgun? I've never used one myself but could see how that would be beneficial.
@guitarzNgunz A fore end strap is exactly what I was referring to. I don't have extensive "tactical" shotgun experience, but I liked having the strap on the front.

I like your setup, it's clean. I picked up an 870 express last weekend for HD and plan to do something similar.
