I like how people take what's cool in sci-fi and completely ignore it. It's like, it's a sci-fi, but it's actually just a medieval fantasy. Sure, it's a 'twilight zone' of sorts, but besides that, it's just some rubbish fantasy film. Only the background story has something to do with sci-fi.

This movie was awesome when it was launched. I just wished they finished the story back then. It had the pottential for a great Sci-Fi series. Now they trying to reboot it with a small budget with the 2010 movie which kinda looks like a B movie compared to what this movie was when it was launched. I had high hopes for it.....

Much better than the gawdawful 2003 version with the downright wooden Brad Johnson -- and anything with Penikett and Wingfield can't be all bad. I'll give it a chance -- it's been about thirty years since I read the books, which should help make it tolerable.
I just saw it on the Sci-Fi "Syfy" channel and I thought it was okay for a made for TV movie. I think it was homemade. It doesn't do the story justice though.

This mini tv show is by far one of the worst ever created.
A show that shows how love can break apart.
Infact, after watching this show. I feel like i should be an asshole to survive.
Forget being faithful, because your wife/gf can turn on you easily when you're gone. Being gone in our world would only be a couple hours to days.

Much better than the gawdawful 2003 version with the downright wooden Brad Johnson -- and anything with Penikett and Wingfield can't be all bad. I'll give it a chance -- it's been about thirty years since I read the books, which should help make it tolerable.

I just saw it on the Sci-Fi "Syfy" channel and I thought it was okay for a made for TV movie. I think it was homemade. It doesn't do the story justice though.
