I just got a full lace wig and the knots were bleached from the bottom, but the knots are situated on top of the lace and are still completely black and visible. Do you have any suggestion how to fix this?

Hi Lovekisses99, I have a quick question...Can you do this with a tinted lace wig? I requested for all of my wigs to be made w/ tinted lace. If I tried this, wouldn't the bleach lightened the lace as well? If so, then, I might have light and dark spots in the lace like when you bleach clothes, right? I bleached two wigs one of them was a #2 or 1B it bleached perfectly. The other was is a 4/30 mix and the knots did not bleach as well. The darker hairs did not lift as well. Would it be ok to try again once it has dried?

@memphisgrits Sometimes the people that make the wigs use fabric dyes! If it came out almost gray or blue then most likely it was. Unless of course it was a synthetic wig.

I made a lace closure myself and attempted to bleach the knots. It didn't work at all! So weird. I'm not sure what I did wrong...I used a Q tip to dab the bleach on the bottom of the closure..on the knots and I left the "bleach" on the bottom of the lace for an HOUR.  Only some of the highlighted hair lightened....a little. Did I use the wrong bleach? I used some cheap stuff. I'm going to try it again using the products that you used here. Wish me luck!

hey so i bleached again.... a new unit. it worked great other than its orangish yellow :S ugh so annoying. i got somethin called brass out. but it did not take much out. and my lace now looks orangish. Do u know how I can fix this? man this is annoying!. I woudl appreciate ur help so much thanx!!!

BUT it died my transparent lace... so now it looks yellow :( so does the hair. i heard unred will fix the hair so its not yellow.. but i also heard it stains the lace. is this tru? does it come out? is there anythin i can use to get the yellow out other than unred?

wow. i didnt kno knots could be bleached sooo well sorry for being ignorant. Im gettin frustrated because i keep gettin units that say they are bleached when they are not. and when i bleach NONE of the color is coming out :( so frustratin. and being cacasian and the hair being soooo dark.. the kntos show bad on me.

This is awesome. I have a couple of questions. 1. What if the unit is made out of regular human hair will it take? Are bleaching knots only ideal for dark hair. I am planning on making a light brown lace front, but I want it to look as realistic as possible can I bleach those knots?

@Lyric4L hi lyric..it all depends on what processes have already been done to the wig already.If it's 100% virgin hair..i would say yes. Please be extra careful. You don't want to ruin your wig :-)

@Lacehairwigs this one is human hair. synthetics can't usually be dyed. since they are made of synthetic fibers, the dye won't take. :-)

Ok so i treid this method and after 45min. nothing! i didn't wanna leave it in longer because I was scared, I had just gotten her and I didn't wanna ruin her but the knots never lifted and i don't know why! I'm scared to do a second app. because I don't know if it will ruin my unit or cause the knots to lift or what but it might be because I put about 5 to 6 drops of the unred into the mixture because my unit is jet black and I didn't want any orangy colors. Do u think that was too many?

hi there...sometimes lifting the knots can be difficult...I don't think the amount of the unred you used was too much. If the unit is jet black..it may be the type of dye the manufacturer used that is keeping the knots from lifting. Not doing it twice was a good idea..have you tried using rit dye remover?

hi lovely...be careful with repeated bleaching...it can cause shedding....the time varies..with some units, they bleach in minutes and some can take 2 or 3 times as long...

Hi lovely,,I have had changes occur everywhere from 5 minures to 45.. Be careful with repeated bleaching..it can cause the knots to weaken and cause shedding..
