Anyone else catch the ironic hypocrisy in Annie's statement? "You can't control what other people do or how they conduct themselves in public. If you take this into account, you realize that ordinances like this are necessary." So for those that can't see it. She claims that you can't control what other people do or how they conduct themselves, so we need ordinances to control what other people to or conduct themselves. Tell me, how is an ordinance different than a you?
It just seems like a point that detracts from the concern over control to publically question a small community agenda over something that really isn't important enough to make a difference especially considering the relavance and overwhelming data to support the city on this issue.
This, to me, is why libertarians are a developing middle ground between republicans and anarchists. Everyone recognizes the need for courtesy at the family level but two families that agree do not rule a 3rd.
Heika learns an important lesson (maybe) - don't play by the rules in a rigged game. Don't work within a rigged system! Only idiots and morons fall for that trick - The audience was full of idiots and morons though, wasn't it?
I do not join or endorse any political group or movement. More specifically, I disapprove of, disagree with, and have no connection with, the latest aberration of some conservatives, the so-called “hippies of the right,” who attempt to snare the younger or more careless ones of my readers by claiming simultanteously to be followers of my philosophy and advocates of anarchism.
@ArrestAJudgeKit There is nothing new under the sun, it is just reworked, but that doesn't mean it's wrong. The hippies of the '60s were right about civil rights and war. They also proved radical ideas translated into loud messages slanted to their beliefs work. Socialism works but only on the very small scale like in small communities. To force large agendas on small comm. is to force them using a foreign or outside agenda that has little or zero relevance to them.
@jimprjayp Translation: jimprjayp is a good socialist. Ironic, that the socialist jimprjayp would steal a verse from the Holy Scriptures to make his socialist point though, isn't it?
@jimprjayp True - they have just co-opted the socialist aspects from the liberals to create their own socialist-conservative hybrid...........and called it 'libertarian'.......or hippies for short......
You can do that by addressing the difference between a "Corporate person" and a "Natural person"
There is no provision in the English language for spelling a proper name with all capital letters!
Any name spelled in all capital letters is assumed a corperation! (A legal fiction.) Try to get a "drivers license" in your proper name spelled in upper case and lower case. They will not give you one!
They only have power over the corporation. (All cap's)
I would of said to the statist (I am sure it doesn’t matter) that if there is no victim there is no crime. The statist here have contributed to million of people in jails in this so called ‘free country’ were there is no victim. What about the ‘quality of life issues’ for the people in jails that have not victimized anyone. And to the cop who said that he feels that his kids are safer because of man caring guns are enforcing victimless crime is a religious zealous and his religion is the state.
why are you all asking for permission from these guys? who the hell are the people but idiots just like everyone else. You should have demand to have a referendum vote on it, and let the public decide. 4 people deciding what , what 5000 people(i don't know your population) that pathetic, they are not the end all beat all. don't ask ....do
The guy at 12:00 keeps saying, "I believe" a lot. This is because he KNOWS that he DOESN'T really know.
Drunk people can and will be a problem whether they drink outside or in a bar. I would point out to these knuckleheads that people don't just sober up when they leave a bar. So what's the difference?
