Wow, he was an fascinating guy...wanted to be an architect or an engineer I think. We used to watch this film on the old 16mm projector growing up and we all loved it. Now I'll alwasy think of Mr Harris drilling a hole in the floor of his car! The picture on YouTube is a bit herky jerky, but I would highly recommend buying the DVD of his greatest work, it's fantastic! Glad you enjoyed!
I had a chance to work with Hilary Harris in the early 90's i was in my 20's . Hilary told me how he pulled out the seats in the car and put a hole in the floor of car to mount the camera. Now for first time i am seeing the film . thanks for the upload and Thank you Hilary Harris for your vision of the world through your lens.
Cool! I have tried to buy this film on 16mm in the past, but it is hard to find.

Highway was shot in colour. I have a 16mm colour print in my collection. I hesitate to upload for fear of copyright infringement.

my favorite!! i remember i had the same kind of imaginative montage going on in my head when i was a child! they are gone now .
