No you don't. Well, you only need the adapter box that comes with the pad and should work without additional drivers. I have this pad since 2005 and never had to buy additional stuff, and it still works great
I'm just curious how your pad is holding up? I bought one and it was amazing for 2 weeks, got my first AA on a 9 foot(even if it was vienna core), but now the top arrow doesn't work. Guitarherostore is shipping me another one which also worries me, if the pads are that disposable they'll just ship them out for any warranty issue.
@stilzkin77 If these pads are like the ones I bought, you can buy replacement arrows for them. Last time I checked they were about 15 dollars for a pair of new arrows. That way, you don't have to junk the whole pad, you just replace what's given out.
how did you get 2 for $190 shipped?? i got free shipping on 1 but i paid full price for it.
i think it's a great pad, too. i've only had it for a week but it's great. it's a little flimsy when you go nuts but it holds up well for being only 1 inch thick.
Wow.. Now i wouldn't recommend this to ANYONE. This pad is a good pad, but when the up and right arrow don't respond, then it is the point where you want to throw it away. I wasted about 160$ on this piece of shit and it doesn't even work for me.
Hey! If your pad is too slippery, get a dryer sheet and rub the pad with it. A little bit goes a long way. Your pad will be super tacky because of the wax. Also, just wipe the dust off every time you play of course.
I got an afterburner pad for christmas and i love it. The response is excellent and it's just an overall good pad. I heard the blueshaks are better, because of the pressure sensors, like the arcades.
is that pad for xbox360?

They're a decent set of metal pads... the only problem is that it uses foil contacts under the arrows.... foil=bad
