  • This is the loudest device ever created by man. The second loudest is the ACA P-50.

  • that is definitely the loudest Chrysler out there!

  • @ferd9191 Chrysler is more like the car

  • wonder how this siren would have sounded as a dual toned

  • @dritb4 Looks like rust dust.

  • these should be restored and used for a college alarm clock (seriously, if anyone has ever went to college and had morning and late classes, you would know what I'm talking about)

  • 25 miles away 60 + year olds duck & cover!

  • Notice the clouds of rust dust coming of the thing on wind down.

  • Well, yeah, you saved me from an air raid and all that, but I'm now as deaf as a post. Thanks, in a half genuine, half bitter way.

  • hah, the only way to make a hemi louder is to put nitro methane in it :D

  • I'm surprised the glasses aren't coming down :P

  • I never would have run that bad boy near all those windows, lol

  • So bad ass.

  • That V8 engine needs some work done on it .

  • Only Chrysler engineers would wake up one morning and think..."how could anyone improve an air raid siren.....I know let's bolt up a HEMI to one" :)

  • @angusandleigh Well to be fair, at the time, the hemi was the only v8 chrysler made. They saw no need to waste time with lesser designs for the poor.

  • loudest siren ever proven

  • i want one of these in my room.

  • @mr7confused how fucking big is your room?

  • the yellow smoke could be rust particles

  • the siren is almost fully restored and you will be able to a high speed run at the spring fling chrysler show in van nuys CA,april 17,18 2010

  • @TheAngrykiwi

im not to big a chyrsler fan well that i am to a certain extent but dam i want to go there just to see that air raid siren lol

  • @DieselDemon18 i will be demonstrating the siren this saturday may 22 for a boy scout jamboree.run times are 6.30am,6.30pm and 7.00pm.location will be american military museum,so.el monte CA

  • @TheAngrykiwi

dam i missed it i was out of town that weekend, but you seem to be in town close to me alot i live in santa fe springs, where are you located maybe one day when you do another test run i can drop by.

  • @TheAngrykiwi they have now said i can not run the siren at the carshow due to complaints of it being to loud!(and it wasnt even running properly last time).i will be there on the sunday to display it

  • what was the yellow smoke????? : /

  • @SanDiegoInnOut

More than likely rust that was inside the siren.

  • Yep, that would be surface rust from the chopper disk (right behind the 6 horns) and the blower's impeller being blown out. That's accumulation from sitting on a building or tower somewhere without running for god knows how many years.

  • is that a mopar show

  • absolutely awesome vid!!

    5stars!!

  • love the sound of that hemi, sounds like a 68 challenger accelerating!

  • you should put a rotary engine on it

  • you can stick your jap rotary up your arse!

  • Rotaries sound better that V8s??? Mate.. You're on smack!

zip zip zip zip zip zip

Like a bloody mosquito ! Horrible.

  • A rotary engine does not sound better than a V8. I grew up around American automobiles, mainly GM, and a V8 has a unique sound of its own.

  • @EngineManic

A rotary would not have the torque to move that.

  • It is rotational. The whole thing pivots

  • wow, its VERY LOUD SIREN !!!!!!!

  • this is most powerful device that emits sound to ever be created. its so powerful infact, taht it can be heard 6 miles away, 2nd loudest sound device ever created is the basic military siren, and it can only be heard for 1 mile.

  • actually I've read they can be heard up to 25 miles

  • @Zombiepwnage117 what is the 1st loudest sound device?

  • @sscot600: Google is your friend.

  • @Zombiepwnage117 Not even close to 6 miles away, try 20 miles away. If I remeber right it's 120 decibals.

  • @Zombiepwnage117 At full blast, It can be heard a maximum of almost 30 miles !

It was and still is , the world's loudest siren .

  • @Zombiepwnage117 What are you talking about? I can hear the local fire sirens further than a mile away.

  • Looked like rust . blowing out the cobs. He whines it up pretty good :)

  • what was that shit coming out the end at the higher pitches?

  • Air.

  • that cant be plain ole air...it doesnt follow the principle of how a mechanical sirens chopper works. it doesnt chop the air enough to turn it into some sort of yellowish gas...

  • Um.. that could permanently damage the dude's hearing.

  • o ya, real awesome, only until your ears blow up

  • Great Demo!

  • I remember when I was a little kid in the 70's. We lived 1 block away from a fire station in Los Angeles. I would hear these things would go off each month.

  • good one daniel, sounds fantastic.

    Mike

  • That was only at half speed. It can get over an octave higher in pitch, and would have probably shattered some of that glass in the background.
