i remember listening to this as a kid in 81,,i was truly freaked out...weird and evil...odd album -odd costumes,,odd time for kiss...woudn`t change a thing.

kiss was still huge in the early 80's...around the world even more so ,,but yes their popularity went down with unmasked,,,dynasty sold tons ,,but that was to new fans ,,their hardcore fans in the states -canada started to fizz away by 1981...in europe south america kiss was still as big as ever..and yes in 1977 + ,,kiss was the biggest band anywhere,,bigger than zep and the stones, both these bands by 1977 were losing territory fast and kiss was simply huge,,i remember i lived it!! great song

@viciousbill In the book "KISS behind the mask",Dennis Woloch is quoted as saying..."Thats pauls hand on the cover incidentally.it wasnt his originally.we had somebody elses. he didnt like it. he hinted around pretty heavily that he had nice hands. and we took him down and shot his hands. I made the door that appears on the cover. I brought the photo(of the door from park ave methodist church)to a model maker and he made a door. its only a section of a door. and he made the knocker too.

Kiss may hate it but I love this album. It is a TOTAL left turn from the usual KISS style. I love KISS, but they should do more stuff that stretches the envelope.
