@ShadowDetoniqz If you think about it nothing is really that innocent. If you look at all the fairytales (before Disney sugar coated the crap out of them) they were really dark and twisted. Like in the story of Cinderella, after she became a princess, she made her step-mother wear red-hot iron shoes where she "danced" around until she died. Don't even get me started on Sleeping Beauty....

Also, there is actually a part two to the story of Rapunzel, after they are married it is revealed that the Prince's mother is actually an ogre who tried to kill Rupenzel and eat their children.

@draconispotter ...Well, yeah I mentioned in an earlier post that what disney has out are sugar coated versions of the stories. Though, the ones we had back then were way darker than the ones that are out today. Like Mufasa and Scar's death, the bad guy from Tarzan getting hanged at the end of the movie, the entire Hunchback of Notredame movie was dark and depressing, Ursela getting impaled by a ship...the scene where the Queen became ugly in Snow White was scary as hell...ect.

Cinderella grim story was that the nasty step-sisters had cut off parts of their own feet in order to fit them into the glass slipper to fool the prince. He is alerted to the trickery by two pigeons who peck out the step sister’s eyes. They end up spending the rest of their lives as blind beggars while Cinderella gets to lounge about in luxury at the prince’s castle.

I just remembered it happened to one of the step mothers.I also already knew about Cinderella's story, though I have to admit, I always thought that was such a bitch move at the end. Don't get me wrong, Cinderella had all rights to let them suffer for all the shit they made her go through, but I guess it's also because of disney's habit of painting the princesses like some type of Saint, incapable of revenge.
