I bet more than half the people complaining about Dubs on this aren't even Japanese. I can say Japanese dubs sound stiff and forced, all of them; but I don't go on Japanese dubbed videos and complain, I just simply look for another. That's my opinion, if you think the voice acting is bad in most English dubs, then you need to take acting lessons. I bet you'd prefer Avatar: The Last Airbender to be Japanese dub, even though it's an English cartoon.

@jkidd213 DUBS in general are bad, yes. You're confusing dubs with voice acting. Dubs are given less budget, time, and effort than the voice acting for the main release. The Last Airbender was originally in English, and that's what I'd prefer to watch it in. Japanese cartoons are originally Japanese so that's what I'd prefer to watch it in. Don't be silly.

@LazyFluff How very wrong you are. If a dub is poor sub will generally be better. If no complaints are had either way it's just preference but a dub like this where creative effort is done to improve the writing then it is superior. I've watched hundreds of both anime, yet to see a dub better than this one. The sub merely has average writing seen in anime, while the dub does not.

@iggysentyou It's true that whether someone prefers a dubbed version to a subbed one depends of people's taste when the quality of the translation is equivalent. I never meant to belittle the effort people put into translating or dubbing an anime. In my previous comment I was only expressing my own preference as I can't get caught in a story in a dubbed anime, the acting just sounds fake and off to me. Especially when it's not in my mother tongue like for this specific version.

@Harmes0 Actually the English dub is extremely well-done; the voice actors for the English dub have a lot more experience, and the quality of dubbing has increased significantly since the 90s. Might want to do your research before you spew out your sewage, thanks.

@Harmes0 Heres the thing. Even now there are some dubbed anime where I cant help but think they just pulled people off the street, but yyh is not one of them. I used to hear ppl bitch and moan about how the original Japanese versions of anime are better and for the most part i'll agree but English dubbed anime has its place and if you don't like it stop watching. The truth is everything that funimation has produced(with a few exceptions) has been extremely high quality.
