  • Jesus.. HAHA, you believe in the easter bunny too?

  • when jesus was here no one had these things. they didnt have all these advancements. sometimes you need some medicine.

  • @TheShootTruth10 I don't think it's as much about "advancements" as it is that we have learned how to "play God" by polluting our soil, ruining our water, etc. Children born today are not as healthy as those of years ago and are certainly not being raised on "living" foods that were available before farming was replaced by technology.

  • 1. Jesus didn't mention many things that plague people today, but generally speaking, the basic issues of human life are addressed in the Bible. Jesus is to be understood in light of what the Bible says about Him. We can go to the source of our knowledge about Jesus to find answers to other things.

    2. Sometimes Jesus healed people instantly. Sometimes not.

    3. Some people follow Jesus and take meds, some follow Jesus without meds, some take meds without Jesus. Some do none of the above.

  • Your awesome!

  • Thank you for your blog and your courage. You are wonderful and beautiful and have been very helpful. My daughter has BPD (she is 26) but refuses to accept it. She has a 3 year old daughter. I try to read or listen to as much as I can regarding this condition so I can be as knowledgable as possible. Again I say, I just love you and keep up the good work.

  • thumbs up!

  • @MsDelle1 Sounds like the way to be!

  • I encourage you to keep sharing your strength and hope and how God has used scientific knowledge of our time to help us overcome these terrible brain disorders.

Some day I heard once That we will look back on the wonders of medicine in this day and age and view it like we view the use of leaches and drilling holes in peoples heads to let out evil spirits. But until then I am glad for the advancements in medicine and that I live now. Lobotomies and such are a thing of the past.

  • @disposophobic Thank you for the comments. That is interesting to think about how far we have come in treating psychiatric illness and how far we still have to go. I am glad to hear that the medication has been helpful for you!

  • That's what happened to me. You just hope you are around enough to tell people that cause and effect are real even when you don't see or understand it. The only thing I say to people is God doesn't do this it's peoples choices or the environment or natural events. But.....God can use us to make lemonade out of the lemons life deals us. One of my friends told me life isn't fair, God is. And in this world sans miracles the world and life rules.

  • Christians vary in their beliefs. I have met ones as you have encountered when I was a Christian. I bought into it and thought if I just prayed more or harder things would get better. I was really tight with God so I felt so unloved. Then I went on anti depressants. What a difference. I am still a Christian and figure God wants me to be well what ever it takes and obviously, my relationship with God is great. I feel loved. I am in a different Church that has a totally different view.

  • I enjoy sharing with the people at my church the fact that I take anti-depressants in the hope of helping my fellow Christians to see that one can follow Christ and still struggle with a mental illness. I have a few fellow members who think I talk about psychology too much. Imagine that. I think God helps us through others in addition to the usual ways.

  • @rainbowheartlove1 I agree. I am glad to hear you are trying to raise awareness about mental health issues by being open about your own experiences with it.

  • i struggle with depression and take an anti-depressant. I also attend church weekly and try to follow Christ. I love to share this at my church in the hopes of helping my fellow Christians to understand that a person can follow Christ and still struggle with a mental illness.

  • i totally agree with you i take deppression meds and anxiety meds and i completly swear over them. if i was not taking them then i wouldnt be typing this message right now.

  • @emogirllover16 I feel the exact same way.

  • hmmm i had to resubscribe to your channel. i recently stop taking zoloft cold turkey because i moved to a differn't state so now i dont have a doctor to prescribe me meds. i miss zoloft.

  • @quadcore152 Wow that must have been hard to stop cold turkey!

  • hooray drugs

    :-D

  • @xbcnfujv Yay! :-D

  • I don't think you rambled long enough...lol..talk is good...

  • @lump1124 lol thanks!

  • Its okay for Christians to take medicine some Christians think people take medicine to avoid a relationship with Jesus. I think that christians should take medicine until Jesus heals them. In the Bible Apostle Paul told Timothy to take wine to help his stomach. St. Luke was a physician and he was told by God to write a Gospel. I say this to say I hope you will be a Christian if your not already.

  • @lump1124 Good points about what the Bible says. I am pretty open minded to all religions.

  • YOU'RE AMAZING AND I LOVE YOU. Seriously, love, you're great.

I'm feeling particularly terrible today, but I'm really happy to read about someone who is happy.

  • @ILuvEire Thank you! I hope things are going better for you. <3

  • im so happy that you feel better.

  • @HoneyChild Thank you! <3

  • Im a christian & I take medication. Jesus gave us doctors and things that will help us feel better! Be encouraged! I understand your struggle!

  • @MsWonderfulj Thank you for the comment!

  • Glad to see you making progress. Keep up the good work.

  • @ZZBob777 Thank you!

  • damn that is a lot of fatherfucking medication !!!

  • @th3inquisitiv31 Hahaha

  • Yupp, I felt frustrated when I took meds and some people (like close friends) saying I don't need meds, and that they only try to make money off of me. Antidepressants doesnt help me. But Lyrica and Lamictal did (even though I coudlnt cope with the dopey effect and the blurry/double vision I got when they gave me more dosage and quit it all together). Good that it works so well for you :=

  • @Chiiiiyo Thank you! Yeah Lamictal is my miracle drug but it took me a little while to get used to it.

  • Hola Mami I am glad to hear this report. You represent the percentage of people within the mental health community that Psych Meds actually help w/o awful side effects. I celebrate that! Many people cannot tolerate them. I have known far more that cannot take them and have went suicidal and or psychotic as a direct result of taking them. I personally cannot take them but wish that I could and have the results that you have had. I tell people to research the drugs carefully then decide. Great Job

  • @soymiguelalejandro23 Thank you Miguel!

  • in da koran and da bible, god say he only help them that help themselves, and if u take meds then ur helping yaself. its common sense. its no different than movin out the path of a on comin vehicle. if U CHOOSE to stand there and git hit, its on u, god wont save u from that!!!

  • @YaKinfolkJStylesOO9 Yeah that is a good analogy!

  • @brynn30 Thank you. Yeah you re right but some people are funny they think from watching one of my videos they can give me a better diagnosis then my psychiatrist. :-P

  • @TheBorgLives Thanks Larry. :)

  • I just want to say that I'm a Christian, myself, and that people who say that going off meds and following Jesus will cure everything need to stop being so ignorant! I never needed meds, but if I did, I wouldn't deny them. Medications is good when used properly.

  • @jdStarlight Thank you for the comment. I'm glad that you are more open minded about it and I think most Christians are. God wants us to be loving and tolerant of each other, not judgmental.

  • Hi Dani,

I think it is sad and annoying that others make you feel like you have to justify for taking meds.

Well, I know this problem, too, and I am really angry how often people ask me if I really need this meds and tell me that these meds are bad.

No, they are NOT. Without them, I would not be alive anymore.

I rather die a few years earlier because of my meds THAN being suicidal and probably kill myself AT ONCE- which I probably would without taking my meds.

    Big hugs and thanks, Judith

  • @crazymadonna Hi Judith thanks for the comment. That is EXACTLY how I feel. People say that there are bad chemicals in the meds and I don't know what they could be doing to my body or I could die early because I am on them. I would rather take a few years off my life expectancy than kill myself tomorrow because I'm not on meds. Also Even if my life were to be shorter at least it will have been a much better quality of life than if I were not on them.

  • Jesus will heal you like he heals amputees lol

  • @jalbador Lol!

  • Good, glad you are doing well :)

  • I stand by you that the bible says nothing about getting medication for anything actually, and especially not about psychiatric illness.

I agree that meds are not the CURE, but they can be so very helpful. My family feels the same as what you have heard about taking medication

I actually made a video about this on my channel about the whole Jesus healing thing, that frustrated me so much!

People need to figure out that mental illness is the same as physical illness as far as medication goes

  • @TheEmmyR What is the link to the video? I would like to see it. :)

  • @thedanizblog I will send you a message with the link because you cannot send links in comments. The video is more just me ranting about a comment someone put on one of my videos.

  • Agreed! <3

  • @mandykins333 Thanks!

  • That's just one thing that pisses me off. Christians can be so judgmental of people with mental illnesses sometimes and this thing about not being close to God or something like that. I'm glad you used the point with the cancer patients. Why should it be any different with mentally ill patients?

  • @TheDonny2014 I know I wist all people could see it that way. No one would tell a cancer patient that they are sick because their faith in God wasn't strong enough.

  • @thedanizblog I really don't know what esle to say except that some of these people are just throwing God's name around so that it looses its significance. people really like to tell lies on God trust me

  • @TheDonny2014 im christian but i dont think that way. but i do agree some christians go over the top

  • @emogirllover16 That's the impression I get from most so-called Christians. Even when some horrible thing happens or is happening the first thing people want to talk to you about is God. I'm also a Christian and I've gotten the same thing which makes me want to question God.

  • @TheDonny2014

God (I think) is not the one to question, it is the beliefs of the person telling you their opinion is what God thinks, so according to them God is judgmental and narrow minded. My God is loving and merciful and does not intervene or control what happens on earth. He set us up with free choice. Miracles are just that, very rare. Otherwise they would not be called miracles. It is arrogant that we can tell others what God thinks. Who is that smart? Discoveries in science is a gift

  • @disposophobic Yeah what you're saying is true, but what about those people who's faith and belief in God are in just the beginning stages? And to have people throw God's name in their faces when something horrible happens?

  • Hmmmm... don't think I've seen anything in credible peer reviewed scientific publications that advocates stopping prescribed medication(s) use as or part of best known course of treatment, and instead following Jesus, God, Yahweh, Jehovah, Allah, Zeus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, Beelzebub, little green leprechauns, Xenu, thetans, and/or the Flying Spaghetti Monster, etc. Hopefully we've progressed a bit beyond the Earth is flat and the sun revolves around it.

  • @MichaelPaoli Haha yeah I would hope so too but I get that a lot actually. There are also plenty of people that think that mental illness and medication are all just a conspiracy by the pharmaceutical companies to make money.

  • @thedanizblog The religion pushers, drug pushers/pharmaceutical companies - any given source is generally going to have at least a wee bit of vested interested and/or bias one way or another. If nothing else, their particular background, experiences, education, even personality, etc. will tend to shape or alter their perspectives at least some bit. Doesn't particularly hurt in general to consider most anything from wherever/whomever - but also do remember to consider the source.

  • Great vlog. You are so right about mental and physical illness being the same. If more people understood that, there would be more forgiveness and less criticism. Keep doing what works for you. :)

  • @Stacy9286 I will thanks. :)

  • LOL!!! Fuck that...Do whats best for you, screw what anyone else says n_n

    Hope you're doing well =]

  • @HowManyDucklings Haha you are right! ...I am doing pretty good thanks. :)

  • Yeah I went light on that guy who was spouting off about Jesus. Since I didn't want to mess up your video comment section.

You can't pray cancer away or have enough faith in Jesus to make the cancer go away.

    /watch?v=Rl6fyhZ0G5E ;-)

  • @GodlessManitoban Haha cool video! ;)

  • @thedanizblog

    Glad you liked it.

  • Sadly there are people who pray for their children instead of getting them treatment from a doctor. That's just one instance where religious ignorance becomes a life-threatening danger.

I'm glad you don't listen to those people.

  • @RottenRroses Thank you. Yeah people can take it way to far. It's cool to have faith but you have to take some action too.

  • Y'know...any Christian criticizing your meds probably has a screw loose - I'd remind them about the miracle of the wine jars at the marriage feast at Cana - if it was cool enough to change a bunch of jugs of water into top vintage Bordeaux-style Israeli red...I'm sure he'd've made allowances for mood stabilizers.

  • @TheMercilessEye Haha yeah good point! You would be surprised at how often I get that from people.
