I feel like I'm one of the few people that actually LIKE this show. I've only seen one episode (Bulifant-Jones), but I really liked what I saw, and it's a damn shame that there's no much else out there, other than one other episode with Nipsey and Patty Duke.
Great to know that there exists more footage of this show.
To WhatsAYak: From the cut at the end, I'm guessing these two minutes are all that's available of this episode?
@WhatsAYak Figured. When I traded for other stuff that aired on this date, it was from multiple traders, not one trader, hence I didn't see it (Or no one else asked for it, possibly). VERY happy to see it today, though! Highly underrated show (Then again I also liked when they used it during late '88 on Card Sharks), and am glad to see footage I haven't seen before. Thanks again!!
@Tubewings That was Captain Sticky. A self-declared superhero who prowled southern California in the 70's. I remember seeing a couple of light-hearted news reports about him around '74, but didn't know he ventured into game shows as well as crime fighting.
@torchkit Captain Sticky also appeared in a (thankfully very clean) segment of "The Sex O'Clock News" in 1985, which claimed he was the inspiration for Superman.
I should point out that this is a very rare piece -- only three full episodes are known to exist (8/3/79 Pilot; 8/15/79; 12/13/79), and only the latter two circulate.
I should also point out that the series ended on 1/11/80, marking this as the 10th (or 9th, I'm not certain)-to-last episode.
Now WarioBarker, Mindreaders was pre-empted on January 1, 1980 AFAIK, so this is the 9th-to-last episode of Mindreaders, and I believe Gene Wood announced the previous week of Mindreaders episodes.
Didn't Brett once appear on Password in the early 70s?

@Abacab1982 - You are correct...this is how I recieved it, as part of an off-air block of daytime games.

Would love to find out if anyone has a copy of my old 3 day contestant-ship on the show. Bill Daily and Betty White (wow) were the hosts.

@torchkit Captain Sticky also appeared on Buddy Hackett's You Bet Your Life.
Too bad Captain Sticky would have been perfect to be a Let's Make a Deal contestant.

This is very good (video) quality for 1979!

Brett did appear on Password Plus a few weeks after this appearance.

@zachhoran - Oddly enough, Brett's P+ appearance actually aired the same week as her stint on Mindreaders.

After all, they were both taped at NBC in Burbank.
