It was certainly difficult for a lot of people in America (mostly Republicans) to accept the prospect of the "first black president", and he was having all these ideas about ending the war in Iraq, healthcare reforms, all kinds of shindigs. And where is he now? POTUS.
If they wanted to "assassinate" Paul, like with Obama, they'd have done it already. And Obama had rednecks to deal with.

@Pitchguest Obama wasn't assassinated because he WAS the first black president. For every redneck, there is a dozen black guys and smart guys to support Obama. If America was so against the idea, he wouldn't have been made president.
As for Ron Paul, he's only got smart guys to support him; he has no ethnic card to fall on. And sadly, as you can see, there aren't many smart guys left in America, so his support on that front is even smaller. Well, at least he has us as support, eh?
