  • My daughter is now 5 and completely cured form clubfoot, thanks to the effective Ponseti method. It is not yet widely spread and very much in need of money to be able to help children in developing countries. The method is easy to learn and cheap to perform and highly effective (98%). You can help by donating, go to the ponseti.info website.

If your child has been treated with the Ponseti method, you can donate the old boots and bars!

  • The entire video shows the on-going project in Uganda, now spreading to other countries in 2011. Clubfoot is being treated there at birth, by applying plaster casts to the baby's lower limb till the soft bone is re-positioned over the first six weeks of life. Boots held apart by a metal bar then hold the feet in position during the day, till the bones are fixed. Surgery is not necessary; the Ponsetti method is therefor made widely available in countries without access to surgeons.

  • What a lovely wee guy, I hope there is something that can / has already been done for him.

My son has club foot on both feet, and I am donating his boots and bar, and I hope to god they help some little child.

  • I'm 13 and was born with club feet. Also born with 6 toes on each foot

  • this is soooo sad :'(

my son was born with one foot suffering from clubfoot,, thank god he was born in the UK where there is treatment available for him-unlike this boy... is there any way in which we can help these kids out in Africa?!

  • @noerelhoeda There are several ways to help clubfoot kids in Africa. You can help by donating at the ponseti.info website and if your child has been treated with the Ponseti method, you can donate the old boots and bars, search for BootBank.

All the best to you and your son!

  • wow that's sad. his mom is a bitch though.

  • My son had a club foot. He started his lot of casts and now in his bar when he was only 2 days old. I don't even remember seeing his how bad his foot was. Luckily he's now a very active 18 month old. Its a shame that such an easy and simple cure isn't aviable to everyone

  • Wow!

  • this is sad. i was born with club foot also, but i had surgery when i was a couple months and another one in second grade. watching this made me see how truly blessed i am.

  • I thank God every day that my son was born in Australia, where he can be treated, he goes in for his last lot of surgery tomorrow.

  • I was also born with Club Foot. Lucky me I was born in a rich country in a grateful family. They helped me a lot! Thanks to good surgians and stretching by mt parents .I am acting like a normal boy, but I have been made fun of, so I like to keep this as my little secret. One day, I will help to aid club foot in poor countries!

  • I would love to help that boy.

  • my daughter was borin with club foot thats a hurting feeling

  • I have two children that were born with this deformity and they are corrected now. my oldest girl was 5 months when corrected- and my youngest girl was almost 3 when hers were corrected. i think the 3 year old had a harder time going through the process of the correction. she still in cast today. I'm happy to say she crawls everywhere in the house.

  • i was born with a clubfoot and when i was little, and also now, people make fun of me because of my foot and it makes me cry.

  • OMG POOR YOU!

  • Forgive me, in developed countries, clubfoot affects about one out of every 1,000 people born.

  • clubfoot affects, to some degree, one out of every 3,000 people born. In countries where surgery is readily available to those who can afford it, or where healthcare programs cover the cost, the condition of the foot and limb can be greatly improved. More boys than girls are born with clubfoot (talipes) and the condition presents with varying degrees of of severity from person to person.

  • What goes 'round,Comes 'round, for selfish, heartless mothers like that.

  • Very nice music!

  • oh wow..

  • Very interesting, this video does a fantastic job of presenting the issues.

  • There you did it again and conveyed a very powerful message in such little time. The Depth of emotions I feel at the moment!

  • Love the music, love the visuals! My heart breaks for the little boy...
