ok im a newb to this UV lighting stuff, and I dont know what kind of lights you have to get in order to put these products to their full effects....im guessing that I would have to buy UV cold cathodes, but I'd rather ask someone like You!..PLZ Respond!
Hey, I'm looking to use the acid green coolant, would you recommend the premixed solution or the additive? Also should I use match UV reactive tubing with the coolant or stick with clear tubing, and any other suggestions such as difference between Primochill, Dangerden, and Feser tubing (in UV re-activeness and quality)
@crashmasher If you want best UV effect then use both Feser UV tubing and coolant, match the tubing colour to the coolant colour. Using clear tubing means you can use any coolant colour but the UV effect is not that great. I would say Tygon is the best quality tubing, but for colour and UV effect I go for Feser.
Fantastic video; really enjoyed the detailed visuals.
I am considering similar UV Cold Cathodes (from FrozenCPU) as well as Fesar tubing and coolant for my new build. For a blue look, does the UV Blue tubing really work well with the Light Blue Coolant? I would figure simple clear tubing would best display the UV glow of the coolant.
I can decide between blood red or acid green, the green would match nice with my motherboard since it is green, but red brings out green, or opisite, and that would be awsome. HELP!
@MultiSnoopDawg I would definitely be matching your mobo colours. Try to have as little variation in colours in your system as possible, or it will look messy, 2 or 3 colours maximum. You can get some amazing UV green coolant. Grab yourself some Feser UV green and a couple of UV cold cathodes and you will have a glow in the dark water-cooling system.
@SingularityComputers the red doesnt work with uv lights ither, right? But i dunno, i like the red so much, but if its a bad fit and or messy, then i have no choice. Thx BTW
@SingularityComputers bro im using a ek ekoolan lime green.. in the picture it glows with no picture .. but when i buy it .. it does not glow plz help im extreamly sad and engry about this
@MultiSnoopDawg I would actually advise you not choose colored coolant, but rather just choose colored tubing. The dye used to make the coolant a certain color will, over time and due to heat, build up in your water blocks. It's the same visualization as cholesterol in your arteries. Good tubing comes in many colors, and if you use clear coolant it will get the same affect you are looking for.
@Scyrka WOAH, i didnt get a word of that, but i almost got... Thats awsome, but like if im looking for blood, like, does it mean red tubing with red water thing will get the right effect, or is the tubing enough? tnx
do you have to worry about these coolants? I mean will it gunk up the water block overtime? I heard this was a problem, but not sure if it was addressed.
Hey i wonder if you could help me out. My watercooling tubes have gone a bit dim, they wont glow as much as they did when i first got it. I was reading my coolant to see if i should put in a black light but it says its UV sensitive. I dont know if thats the same as reactive or not was wondering if you had any tips. ty
@alexjunior1 What type of coolant is it? It no doubt means the same thing as UV reactive. You can pick up a UV cold cathode kit 30cm for about $20 at the right places. Having clear tubing with your UV reactive coolant, or UV reactive tubing is important to get some kind of UV reactive effect.
@IamMrRagequit It depends on the type of UV light you are using. In this case I am using a cold cathode and they usually come with an inverter and are powered by a molex connector and are also wired up with a switch for on/off. It just depends what you want. You can hook them up to a custom switch panel. Or use a high quality inverter from Lamptron for example that can take up to 4 or 8 cold cathodes. Or you can use LEDs or LED strips, etc, etc.
hey mate im in sydney Aus, i cannot for the life of me find somewhere that sell the Feser line of products....Can you tell me where you purchase your Feser gear from ?
@imarimar I should have mentioned it. I know, its very annoying that nobody has Feser products in Australia. I get all my parts from Performance PCs. I will put the link in the video information. Performance PCs has absolutely everything you can imagine for water-cooling and PC modding, its my favorite store by far. The only problem is that postage costs a fortune because its in America. Its worth it though.
@ComputerTechTV Hey thanks for the comments mate. I follow your channel closely also. I really enjoy all the useful and interesting information in your videos. I seriously can't wait to see some Bulldozer benchmarks. I might just have to switch back to AMD. Not sure why your comment got flagged for spam, YouTube's so glitchy sometimes. Cheers.
bro i have uv lime green ek coolan .. it seams it does not glow but its uv reactive

@TheGamersHud Yep any decent UV lights. They need to be as bright as possible. Cold cathodes are the best thing because they put out a lot of light.
