Never saw Gothic only heard of it.The witcher 2 owns every RPG out there and is one of the greatest and best games ever made . Story , Graphics , Enviroments , Variety , Sandbox Designed levels , RPG Elements , Customizations , Free DLCs , Lots of Updates , Update 2.0 , Revolutionary graphics and brand new realistic and fresh combat system , Great group finisher animations and cutscenes with awesome voice acting , music , sound , emotionally engaging moments and great motion capturing.SO shutUP.
Action is not part of a good game, it destroyed games!
The Witcher else is an epic game with fantastic story, so I like it.
But Gothic has the best atmosphere in RPGs, even fantastic story and involves the player more than other games. Gothic is something unique!!!
Both are good games in it's own way, but Gothic (especially I & II) is the best RPG ever made. It doesn't let you feel like a superhero monster killer. It isn't such fantasy.

Gothic is better, but The Witcher also is one of the best RPGs ever.
