This man makes me feel everything from softness, to healing, to hardness, to just....I don't know what to say....he pulls my soul beyond my physical body and makes me wanna do a big stretchy yawn!!
I first commented on this rendition almost a year ago, and everything I said then still holds true...and MrMarilyn is right, he really does bring tears to my eyes as I listen to him sing...This is so touching...Noone can touch Sam, but Sananda is EXCELLENT also...Love it!
I'm with you, man, when this song came out I was DJ'ing at a Tampa nightclub and working at a record store during the day -- everyone at the store -- and I mean EVERYONE, regardless of their musical bent -- sang along and listend to TTD. He transcended genre, race, age, sex, etc... he was awesome. Can't figure out why he disappeared. It's just sad.
why? he is a pur talent straight from his hart a concert for 20000 people or 100 he always gives the best thats i call a superstar and forget michael and etc..peace
why compare him to michael??? michael is unique and no one will come close to what he has done. it is an injustice that ttd wasn't more popular mainstream vocally one of the greatest artist that ever lived
I went to see TTD when he supported Simply Red at Shepherds Bush an left to go upstairs an hang out with him as SOON as he finished doin his set (i LEFT just as Simply Red came ON,HA!!) he sang this then an i was sittin in the front row an tears started streamin down my face during his rendition of this,an i couldn't have cared LESS!!Believe me...it takes one HELL of a fukkin performer to elicit tears from THESE eyes,an he DID...an i LOVE him for it too!!Masterful...A+
..shame the bit at the start was just missed.. saw TTD on the Tube years earlier perform an even grittier version 'live'. That'll b worth postin too ... Goood Stuff.
I think that Sam Cooke was the greatest singer who ever lived, so for me to say what I'm about to say, really says it all...Sananda's arrangement of Wonderful World is Beautiful...Magnificent...and Simply Brilliant...As a true Sam Cooke fan, I absolutely loved it..
he has the same eyes like Michael Jackson :)
