  • The palaeontologist what's the fight about?

  • @SuperSpicychili If you really want to know, go to page...5, or something. It's just another senseless youtube passive-aggressive argument, nothing special to look at, really.

  • @brainwasher9876 I can see why you are called Brainwasher. All you do is lie and twist what others say to seem intelligent. 'Studied British History extensively'...OH REALLY? I am one inclined not to believe that out of hand, and two, amused. I am British and know a lot more about my nation's history than you. Do a few wiki searches? Look at one subjective book? Oh and I never said British history was all my doing are you insane?!!! As for Palaeontology//PUSH THE FUCK OFF. Britain and France...

  • @ThePalaeontologist ...concurrently invented Palaeontology, and British Imperial Science soon dominated it. Most of the principles of Palaeontology we have today were born with Victorian Era British pioneers in Naturalism, Comparative Anatomy, Geology and Zoology. Palaeontology as a word was made by a french scientist, to better summarise what British and French 'men of rock' were already doing; unearthing fossils and reconstructing the arcane past. You really don't understand what a mistake...

  • @ThePalaeontologist ...it is to DARE say to an actual Palaeontology student, and life-long Natural History lover, that the British had nothing to do with it. Technically, the first contemporary TRUE Palaeontologists and not just roving amateur fossil collectors, were Georges Cuvier of France and Sir Richard Owen of Great Britain. They regarded each other as friends - just after, in the 1820's here, the British had been instrumental in the defeat of the Napoleonic Republican Empire. Palaeontology

  • @ThePalaeontologist ...rose with British scientists mostly. William Smith, who made the first modern Geological Map of Great Britain, the other British Geologists who began to realise the law of superposition applied to most rock formations, the notorious but brilliant Sir Richard Owen, father of Palaeontology himself, who for example coined numerous names including that beloved super-order of the DINOSAURIA. Biologist Charles Darwin with the mighty theory and now fact of evolution, as well as..

  • @ThePalaeontologist ...all of his friends such as the indefatigable Thomas Henry Huxley, 'Darwin's Bulldog', who helped to intellectually cast down the 'Old Guard' such as the paradoxical Creationist-Palaeontologist Sir Richard Owen (who had once named species after Darwin when they were great friends, but now hated him for his 'atheistic blasphemy') and secure the rise of hyper modern Secular Society in Great Britain....and there is much more. Darwin voyaged upon HMS Beagle..clearly BRITISH

  • @ThePalaeontologist just out of curiosity, why do you have such an unhealthy obsession with paleontology? Did you watch it get raped as a child and wind up not being able to do anything about it? It's always nice to cultivate it as an interest, but managing to bring it into a topic like, well, this is quite superfluous to be honest.

Anyway the things you say have nothing to do with the discussion we had, but I've lost hope in returning to that since you just rant your way through tangents.

  • @ThePalaeontologist by history I meant the history of britain's colonial exploits. It seemed obvious to me given the context of our conversation, but unfortunately I forget sometimes that others lack the facilities to keep focused. My profuse apologies regarding your misfortunes, my good man.

  • @brainwasher9876 Pathetic. You resort to cheap and disturbing insults, after I demonstrate my superiority with ease. You insulted Britain totally, don't you dare try and back-track now you rotten scum. If you want to tarry with contextual variations and meanings, then so be it. In any given context, I outclass you, 'my good man'.

  • @brainwasher9876 I was proving a point.

  • @ThePalaeontologist ^ thats what I said in response of your previous insults, and used the next paragraphs to prove British Palaeontology is best and oldest.

  • *gets out of shelter* phew I think the flame war ended lol

  • Hey guys I want to know if I can run this on my computer: HP Pavilion a6000. I can't do 'Can You Run It' because you have to download something.

  • @cas123321 and so EAGLES8342 said The Usa happened.....?

  • @cas123321 oh sorry never mind

  • Hapafull. where is your comment?

  • @SmokeytheBear66 It's on the 9th page.

  • I'd love to take on the Prince of Macedon. I am well able to beat him, like I'd say a good quarter of decent Total War players. I don't get why everyone reckons he is the boss of Total War games. No disrespect intended, but then again why should I show respect in the first place? Making a tonne of videos and having played Total War games and others for years - as many others have - doesn't make you the best. I would relish the chance to just go head to head in a non biased battle for both.

  • @ThePalaeontologist He does it as a hobby, your a fucking NERD FLAMER!

  • @ThePalaeontologist someone's cocky. Maybe you should work up that attitude after you actually play against him.

  • @brainwasher9876 what the hell is this? Maybe you should grow up, realise it is just a game, you are being a little bitch to someone who happens to be good at it, that someone saying they can manage to win against him is not impossible considering there is only so far ANYONE can go or achieve with even great strategy games like the Total War series, and that ACTUALLY, I am not some little 'punk', but a really, really, really clever man. Get lost idiot. This is childs play.

  • @ThePalaeontologist whoa, someone's pissed. Couple of things to say:

    1. You're calling me a child while flipping out over a polite suggestion.

    2. It IS just a game. Hence you shouldn't have the cocky, bitchy attitude. It's uncalled for and incredibly immature.

    3. PrinceofMacedon never says in any of his videos that he is the god of Total War. He is performing a service for the youtube community by providing videos that are interesting to watch.

  • @brainwasher9876 WHOA someones getting mock-categorical to seem more intelligent than he actually is :O surprise surprise...'couple of things to say', as you say (though you said couple, you actually noted down three is we are being pedantic)...

    1. You are a child. I am not flipping out, just putting you back in your rightful place - and actually age has little to do with this. Some people will always be children.

2.a) 'Cocky, bitchy attitude'. No. Thats you my butthurt friend. b) PoM=Cool

  • @ThePalaeontologist so I'm a child because I'm defending a youtube video uploader from a hostile and curiously arrogant comment-yuppie who claims that this guy is nothing special, though said uploader never said he was? If that's childish, then gold is the same thing as lead.

    2. You're the one who responded to a one-sentence suggestion with a paragraph of tirades: "ACTUALLY, I am not some little 'punk', but a...clever man". You're the only insecure person here. Peace.

  • @brainwasher9876 Clearly, you have missed my points. This is sad (you know, that I am forced to spelt it out). But here it goes;

    1. I was NEVER attacking PrinceofMacedon. Not at all. I merely voiced my OPINION (you know, those things people of sound mind are usually allowed to have no matter what) that I reckon TW games are great but limited really, understandably. As such, after a while, these days, lots of people could match him. NOT JUST ME, GET IT? I have been playing TW games for 10 years.

  • @ThePalaeontologist I judge you for being insecure because you somehow managed to take my impersonal comment about judging someone AFTER you play him into me making insults on your intelligence, that I think you're a "punk", etc. I'm no major of psychology, but if someone made a one-sentence suggestion to me I would not freak out and go on a long tirade attempting to prove my cleverness, unless I'm an insecure, lonely soul.

  • @ThePalaeontologist if you think that TW games are limited, and am voicing your disgust over the people who like his videos, I suggest that you find a hobby. Something more constructive.

  • @brainwasher9876 2. I never EVER commented on either PrinceofMacedon's potential self esteemations; nor did I EVER make light of him directly. I told you, he is cool. It just makes me a little bored to see how he has a sort of over the top fanbase, and I am sure he would get what I mean by this. But, so what if he didn't? Hes no hero of the real world outside of gaming, why do I need to match up to him? How derranged is that shit?

    3. Me? Insecure? Nah, I am ok thanks. Palaeontology student ;)

  • @ThePalaeontologist " No disrespect intended, but then again why should I show respect in the first place? Making a tonne of videos and having played Total War games and others for years - as many others have - doesn't make you the best." Maybe we interpret things differently, but the tone you take here makes it look like you're challenging his skill as a player.

You being a palaeontology student has nothing to do with you being insecure.

  • Hey dude great videos, what PC do you use and how much did it cost you?

  • are those elephants stronger than the horses they just pushed threw a square unit like nothing 2:48

  • wtf is paratha?

  • Charging those elefants in was a very unwise move.

  • do u ever lose

  • Sounded like you were saying the Dick of Wellington

  • How can you lose so many more troops than the enemy killed?

  • @BeestOfSpood Because the Enemy captured his troops.

  • When the Maratha have elephants vs britain the battle is more interesting to me somehow :)

  • sorry, but it seems to me that all of the western factions have almost identical units and there is little variety. Is that the case with this game or am i mistaken?

  • @TheAdskidids they all have the same basic units like line infantry, but yeah, theres less variation as there was in past games. however they do have some unique units and some variation. it doesnt really affect the game too much i think.

  • @TheAdskidids there is some variation. For example, only the British have Ferguson riflemen and only the Polish have winged hussars. Although at first glance the Ottomans and Maratha seem to have completely different units, boiled down they all serve the same function (aside from elephants which to me are completely unique).

  • 6.33 huh Indians... sigh [then diea]

  • good strategy but to much runing

  • In this game can you do a coop grand campaign?

  • @AmericanCondor no that napoleon and shogun 2

  • The maratha confederacy does not have ANY skirmishers, which is really a big downside! Not even the elite units of the east pack adds skirmishers to their army!

  • 8:21

    That soldier is kick-butt!

    "Eat rifle!" *SMACK*

  • elephants suck in this game love using them as target practise

  • How long did it take you to download this it is taking me an amazingly long time. :( I wanna face you.

  • Uhh are the graphics this good in the game?? Please tell me.

  • @dudeRYANdude they are if you got the computer to run it that high, i have a gaming comp and run everything on high not ultra and it looks pretty sweet. :)

  • 8:09 - OWNED!!

  • The Elephants wreck

  • i hate maratha. all they do is bumrush you.

  • Despite the victory, I would consider this more of a Maratha victory. You deployed 256 more men than him, so of course a defeat would be assumed, considering your epic strategy. However you lost a full 100 more men than he did. I'm not trying to be harsh or anything, but this guy you played may just be your match.

  • heres my question...GET READY TO FACE THIS DANGEROUS,MEGA DEATHLY IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE!!!!!....ARE YOU PREPARE???ARE YOU READY???ARE YOU SET??ARE YOU ready to set GO???well here it comes.......WHERE DO I PLAY THIS??IS IT FREE???DOESN'T GIVE YOU COMP VIRUS??NO DOWNLOAD NEEDED???

  • @richyrik1 : unfortunately it's not free, you have to buy it from a gamers store, but it's worth your money trust me (o yeah and online is free ofcourse ;)

  • I bet napoleon would've beaten the duke of Wellington at Waterloo if the prussians never helped

  • The duke of Wellington was one of the best generals to ever live.

  • lol, square didnt rly stop the elephants

  • omg lol 4 15 the dudes un goes in too the animals butt lol

  • green coats are skirmishers which have longer range than regular infantry

  • what's the difference between the green coat soldiers and the ordinary ifantry?

  • @clp920 Green jackets are riflemen, were as redcoats use muskets.

  • Real men play as indians and natives.

  • Yes he looses but he doesnt show the videos he just says it in his later videos.

Bring in the Granadiers to throw bombs at the elephants lol

  • OMG PoM I loved the sharpe show it was so good, quite accurate and great war scenes and if you could choose which nation you were born in for there history which one would it be?

  • You put your line infantry into 2 lines instead of 3 ... same did Atty at Waterloo.. lol i dont know why i posted this comment... :D

  • wold you sell or give me one of your games of total war

    plss respond

  • @facutheking1 stop trying to b a mooch just buy the game

  • yes he has a lost battle posted but I can't remember wich one anyway nice tactics man

  • i always look for prince of macedon videos for new tactics for the total war games

  • The British used to be such beasts....

    What happened....

  • @Hapafull they didnt kno how to fite gurrilla style

  • @HEAVYw31ghtNINJA why would we have to fight 'gurrilla' style

  • @Hapafull world war1, blitz us :/

  • @Hapafull

Don't diss the Brits, they controlled half the world at one time

  • @Hapafull World War II

  • @Hapafull you can say the same thing about sweden.

  • @Hapafull

    Our tea reserves became depleted.

  • @Hapafull world war 2

  • @Hapafull we were told to give everyone their countries back.....

We still have the best trained and most highly skilled army in the world.

  • @Hapafull They screwed up after the revolutionary war when colonists broke free from britain and now consider USA

  • @OOTWL no big loss. Financially the thirteen colonies were more of a burden than an asset, and the United States later proved to be very good allies in the British Empire's final days.

  • @OOTWL Now CONSIDERED the USA? Rofl, nah we ARE the USA BREH BREH!!! U.S.A! U.S.A! U.S.A! U.S.A!

  • @KittenzKill ok that's similar to what i said sooo good job ;)

  • @Hapafull The Usa happened

  • @EAGLES8342 learn history

  • @EAGLES8342 Well, not really. Even in 1922 - or should I say specifically in 1922 - the British Empire was at its absolute peak. It ruled 1/4 of the world on land, never before or since achieved. Soveriegnty was mastered over 700 million people across the globe, which meant even more back then when the world population was billions less than now. The USA is still imbued with the British parentage it of course owes - two States for eg Georgia (for George III) and Virginia (for Elizabeth I) USA-UK

  • @ThePalaeontologist oh, and if you want to bitch at me about grammar, "a couple" could also mean a few, more than two (see merriam-webster). Before being a grammar nazi look up a dictionary first, please.

  • @brainwasher9876 haha you sad little troll

  • @ThePalaeontologist that was an enlightened, intelligent response.

  • @brainwasher9876 Thought you'd say that. It was obvious you would. I just thought I'd leave it to chance, in the hope you would not be so predictable. Shame.

  • @ThePalaeontologist as expected from a palaeontology major, hypocrite.

  • @brainwasher9876 Nah.. Not 'Major'...thats what you yanks call it. Its an undergraduate Bachelor of Science, 3 years. I shall do my Master of Science Degree on a 4th year...and then the PhD over the next 3 years after that. 7 years. Neither easy nor cheap. I refer you to my middle finger.

  • @ThePalaeontologist you know, it's funny that you mention that. The only people I can think of that obsess over their occupation and their degree are freshmen in college who think that being in the engineering programme makes them God. I don't frankly give two squirts of piss what you do for a living. Oh wait, you're still in school. Scratch that. You only earn your title when you graduate, sir. Btw...I'm Australian, so fuck you.

  • @brainwasher9876 Haha fuck off Dundee. Ooo Australian, you mean that retarded neck of the woods that was a British PRISON dump? That place of criminals and whores spawn? That place where there are 3 times more fucking 'Roos than people?! Where even today half the population are Creationists and the rest are way below world averages for education? Where you have a cheese called 'COON CHEESE'? Pathetic scum. 'Freshmen', like the 'Dollar' is a term a term Oz and the USA share. Get lost you turd.

  • @ThePalaeontologist Hahaha show those bitches.

  • @warhero296 ;)

  • @ThePalaeontologist it was a british prison dump 200 years ago. Guess what? 200 years ago britain was an industrial cesspool with horrific humans rights violations especially where child labor was concerned. I don't judge what Britain is currently from what they were 200 years ago, and I expected you to do the same. Pity there are people like you who would stoop to any level to try to get a rise out of others.

  • @ThePalaeontologist and discrediting others' language is, well, stupid. The British used to use miles and inches before they converted to the French system of kilometres and centimetres, yet still had the gall to ridicule everything the French did. And now you call us out on the way our language has evolved? Double standard much...

  • @brainwasher9876 Hahaha brilliantly stupid. How about, the British led the twin advances of the Agricultural and Industrial Revolutions? Conquered 1/3 of the planet and still by 1922 held sovereignty over 700 million citizens? Spread the English Language - you know, that think you ungratefully use and abuse - to dominate the west to this day? Still have massive influence in global politics though the a relatively moderate island kingdom? Still be in the top 8 world economies? Best Army for size?

  • @ThePalaeontologist I do not "abuse" the english language. It's just been evolved where I live. If you want to get into the specifics of it, the English you speak right now is about as different, if not more different, than the English spoken in your vaunted age of Imperialism. You've changed the language as much as we Australians have.

  • @ThePalaeontologist Regarding your points of how Britain has accomplished more than Australia, YOU try boasting of achievements when the entity you're being compared to has had a 3000 year head start.

Get your head out of your ass. Britain does not still have a "massive influence" on global politics today; it has taken a backseat to powers such as the United States, China, Japan, and India. Your time, no matter how "brilliant", has passed.

  • @brainwasher9876 -.- Pathetic rant

Seriously, this says so little about anything. Go read some books. You may learn a thing or to, but to be honest, you are not worthy of the stamp. Oh and, I do not blind myself, but you blind yourself. Britain is all that I say and more. You are part of our history, not viceversa. Be grateful. You still have much to learn.

  • @ThePalaeontologist your profound dialogue demonstrates that you have not managed to refute a single one of my points...

  • @brainwasher9876 As for the British Imperial Measurements System, I disagree strongly with the notion it is 'extinct'. It is still widespread in the world, and is still very useful in terms of the Scientific applications of it. Palaeontology, for instance. Now, Tyrannosaurus rex is famous for being over 45 feet long. But in literally anything you see, the metric measurement is also shown, often first with the feet in brackets. Tonnes is what I use, rather than the Imperial Tons. Interchangeable.

  • @ThePalaeontologist Point out a single place where I said that the British Imperial Measurements System is "extinct", although I would like to point out that the metric system is vastly preferred in most fields of science as it utilizes a base ten system.

  • @brainwasher9876 Oh and, stop pissing in the wind and quit while you have only been beaten twice out of two 'engagements'. I will do it with greater ease if you try to be smart again.

  • @ThePalaeontologist you idiot, this has nothing to do with "winning" or "losing" any engagements. The original argument was whether or not you were being overly hostile in declaring that princeeofmacedon was a less than stellar player and overrated, although you have devolved that discussion into petty name-calling for the sake of spite.

  • @brainwasher9876 Ohhhhhhhh Australian!!! Watch out!!! Your cool!!! Sounds like your going to cry.

  • @warhero296 the place you come from sounds fascinating, since you make defending where you're from look like it's some sort of crime.

  • @brainwasher9876 Nah just kidding... I just felt like saying that...

  • @warhero296 you are an ignorant dick. I just felt like saying that, please let it pass.

    See what I did there?

  • @brainwasher9876 Haha the sly overly confident pedant and blind literalist rears his head. There is more than one way to deflect an opposing commentor. I didn't need to 'refute' your points one at a time. I did so all in one go. Your attempts were so pathetic, as I did say, it was a simple matter of shorthand dismissal. You need to learn about British history. You'd be surprised. I like Australia's past, but it is never going to be without British parentage and British history overshadowing it.

  • @ThePalaeontologist Taking Britain's achievements and calling them your own is slightly more idiotic than claiming that since there was one German who hated jews and committed genocide, all modern Germans have genocidal leanings. Those who fall back on their history in order to demonstrate their lofty attitude towards others have truly backed themselves into a corner.

I simply claimed that you were being overly hostile to princeofmacedon. You're the one who responded with a 500 word rant.

  • @ThePalaeontologist I've studied British history extensively, and I see no correlation between it and any of your discussion points here. It's especially amusing considering how ridiculously proud you are of your study, paleontology, which also has absolutely nothing to do with British history. If you were a historian I would see how you could randomly offshoot into that direction, but you simply had no excuse.

  • @brainwasher9876 Ignorant? No. A dick? Yes ;)

  • @warhero296 Good. Mind your own business, then.

  • @ThePalaeontologist STFU you sad prick

  • @whosajigaya haha who the fuck are you

  • @ThePalaeontologist Someone who doesn't want to come on a gaming video and have to be confronted in the comments section with bullshit from you, I'd rather see comments about the video than of your pathetic rant ;)

  • @whosajigaya Congratulations, you have now proven yourself to be a right royal bellend.

  • @ThePalaeontologist Lol nice patter mate "a royal bellend" are you 10 years old ??? but seriously you are clearly a stuck up fud and have some sort of dinosaur fetish ???

  • @Hapafull they still are, they just dont go round conquering everything like they used to :P

  • @DeanMurray08 It's HARD to run a World-Wide empire when you've only got the population that can fit on two Islands the size of Ohio collectively, man!

  • @Hapafull we got the SAS

    and we invented nuclear submarines

  • @Hapafull same with every country they didnt want to offend people

  • @Hapafull The romans used to be such beasts, the mongols to.

Now they are all puss, cuz they got decadent.

  • Must have a good computer. I can't go passed the " medium" graphics on my brand new computer

  • cool

  • Finally he's using the british

    *says under breath:racist bastard*

  • who are we fuckin freaks that what no just kiding around

  • he says sharp is just a tv show but it's a series of book's by bernard cornwell

  • 8:10 oh owned in da face XD

  • coud someone explain me why those green jackets got line oficers

  • The British, under the command of Arthur Wallessly, marched across the Kaitna River to meet the Marathas, under the comand of Scindia & Rajah of Berar. At first the Marathas had the upperhand in an artillery battle. Next Wallessly commanded his highlander infantry to advance and drive off marathas, but advanced too far. They formed a square form and later charged the marathas and swept them away from Assaye.

  • hey Prince, what option do you use to make your gun shots spew out the red fire as well as real looking smoke instead of having it look like just a blob of smoke?

  • @DominateroftheWorld u might just have bad graphics on ur game

  • map?

  • U r gud!!!

  • I have the sharp sires

  • who are maratha?

  • @rugbart11 I think its basically India

  • @rugbart11 the maratha confederacy, there from southern india

  • during this time period the British fought in ranks of three. It was the continental army that fought in ranks of two, only out of an attempt to compensate for their numerically inferior numbers.

  • The Maratha units have sweet uniforms :)

  • elephants

  • i dont care what im told if are charging at you im gettin the fuck outta there

  • I like maratha.

  • Good vid man keep making more.

  • O_o that 1 dude got smacked hard! you can hear the smack too :o lol i was like daaaammmnn. gf mate

  • 8:08 awesome

  • if i had to choose the best total war games it would be shogun and meideval

  • DEATHITSELF248@

    Rome Total War!:P

  • @DEATHITSELF248 Shogun was gay

  • @killerclown789 how can you call a classic total war gay its probably one of the best classic rts games ever. you are no fan of the total war games if you call shogun gay
