for gw pvp all u do is stay in da same place an not move at all unless u have low health while in wow u got to move around all da time ... in my opinion gw pvp is very boring i have watched lot of vids of gw pvp and it da same thing oh i c and enemy run up and button smash while in wow u have to move run behind then jump and all other crap u do in wow pvp so yea wow pvp is fast pace also it depend on wat class u choose yes some are slower than other

@TehJedicake well it wasn't necessarily a "one shot" but raiders had the gear which gave them more stats and stamina making them better in pvp than a normal pvp player. i think it was cool that you had to work really hard to become powerful in the game, but now its more balanced.

If you spam skills in WoW and hoping to get luck with it, then you're doing it wrong. GW just takes a different approach to PvP because of it's completely different gameplay, WoW isn't any less tactical.

lol jst so you guys no those arnt the only skills you could use. there are like 300 skills for a class plus you can do a secondray calss which adds another 250 skills so you have like 550 skills but you can only use 8 at a time so it makes teams essential in gw and every class is balanced because it depends on what 8 skills you use its not rock paper scissors like in WoW. once you get passed the learning curb of gw to pvp its pretty fun

Ever since I had to quit Final Fantasy XI, i've been throwing around free MMO's, and nothing has ever come close to FF, but I think i'm going to give this game a try. It's gotten alot of high reviews, and it looks decent. I just hope it's storyline driven. The only thing I don't think I'm going to like is that it looks like monsters can aggro you from three miles away

(also GW is the closest mmo while talking about player numbers that is closest to wow it has 5 million players).

seems like you havent played WoW for long either, since rogues are FAR from being over powered, stun locks can be easily avoided, every single player has Medallion of the Horde/Alliance (depending on your faction obviously) which breaks any movement imparing effect, and since rogues do not have any defense, if you survive the stun lock he's dead. Rogues have a slow down poisons, a poison to make your casts twice as long, a poison to make all heals do 50% less, can interrupt your casts, can disoriant you, can sap you, have cloak of shadows, have evasion, have vanish, have sap, have stealth, and have a disarm (2 if talented). All of that AND THEN the stun locks. The trinket is 2 min cooldown, those stuns will be coming constantly, not to mention they'll have all those poisons on you and avoid all your attacks and vanish.
@jotaroxtreme first of all they can only wear 2 poisons, second of all, everything you said can only be used O N C E every 2-5 minutes depending on the attack.. survive the stun locks and his cooldowns.. which is not such a harddd job and the rogue has nothing else to do but die.. and stuns come once every 40 seconds more than enough time to kill a rogue without his cooldowns.. omg you're just a troll you dont even know what you're talking about
A. My rogue has no need for crippling poison because he's 2/2 twisting blades which gives me a daze slowdown.
B. Kidney shot is a 20 second cooldown and gouge is 10 seconds. Cheap shot has no cooldown as long as your stealthed. These are all stuns.
C. Sap has no cooldown and can be used as long as your stealthed, kick is 10 seconds (if talented silences btw), and the poisons can be applied while stealth and of course have no cooldown.
you cannot go on stealth is you have a dot on yourself and every class has a dot attack..
gouge is only for running.. go ooc and i drink/eat.. if you're close enough for not lettin me eat i wouldnt let you stealth back so all you got is your kidney shot every 1 min..
actually... rogues along with shamans are probably the hardest class to play in terms of PvP... so many cool downs to keep track of and the amount of CC that goes around is pretty rediculous.
however i will say that i have only done a few random arenas in guild wars and im pretty confused haha. im pretty new =P 1 month in as a sin.
Guild wars 2 is not released yet, its going to be more like other RPG games. Nightfall is expansion game for Guild wars 1, having nighfall game allows you to acess new areas and skills.
Hey WoWHunter it is a fun game mostly for the pvp. The lvling gets boring cause you can get a char to max lvl which is 20 in an hour to 2 hours and beat factions and proph nightfall and eotn in no time but you should try it

as far as it looking good, its the best game out there. playablility and gameplay is the best. only thing lacking is the depth of per class build recustomisation. basically no talent trees lol :\. Even with the stigmas. But the game looks amazing.. visuals and gameplay ( i played 5 out of 6 betas.. )
I wouldn't recommend it, i bought GW Factions for £12 off there site, the game lasted about 2 days for me, it locks up.. and uses all the energy of a spell if you decide to stop casting it, it's click to move, you can't keybind and there's only 8 spells to use at anyone time, and 1 almost always has to be a rez signet..

Yeah, CSS and WoW are the most competative Player vs Player games for the genre, i play MW2 for the PC, that's pretty awesome.. accuracy is alot better than the xbox360 version, which i've been playing the last 3 days at my uncles :P
i find on the xbox360 version, when you spot someone your right trigger before left trigger.
shoot at hip fire and aim while spraying, on the PC, you'd aim before the shot
good game on both, but i'd prefer the PC version because i'm better at playing it :P

@orion3588 agreed. MMO's almost always operate on a target based combat system. because of this they'll never be good for pvp, and pve will never require anything more than proper planning and execution

seems like you havent played WoW for long either, since rogues are FAR from being over powered, stun locks can be easily avoided, every single player has Medallion of the Horde/Alliance (depending on your faction obviously) which breaks any movement imparing effect, and since rogues do not have any defense, if you survive the stun lock he's dead. Rogues have a slow down poisons, a poison to make your casts twice as long, a poison to make all heals do 50% less, can interrupt your casts, can disoriant you, can sap you, have cloak of shadows, have evasion, have vanish, have sap, have stealth, and have a disarm (2 if talented). All of that AND THEN the stun locks. The trinket is 2 min cooldown, those stuns will be coming constantly, not to mention they'll have all those poisons on you and avoid all your attacks and vanish.

@jotaroxtreme first of all they can only wear 2 poisons, second of all, everything you said can only be used O N C E every 2-5 minutes depending on the attack.. survive the stun locks and his cooldowns.. which is not such a harddd job and the rogue has nothing else to do but die.. and stuns come once every 40 seconds more than enough time to kill a rogue without his cooldowns.. omg you're just a troll you dont even know what you're talking about

and thats only 3 classes among 10..
they're REALLY FAR from being OP.. if you've ever played for 2 months with good gear @ lvl 80 you would realize that rogues are not OP at ALL

A. My rogue has no need for crippling poison because he's 2/2 twisting blades which gives me a daze slowdown.
B. Kidney shot is a 20 second cooldown and gouge is 10 seconds. Cheap shot has no cooldown as long as your stealthed. These are all stuns.
C. Sap has no cooldown and can be used as long as your stealthed, kick is 10 seconds (if talented silences btw), and the poisons can be applied while stealth and of course have no cooldown.
Learn your class plz or gtfo. k thx bai.

you cannot go on stealth is you have a dot on yourself and every class has a dot attack..
gouge is only for running.. go ooc and i drink/eat.. if you're close enough for not lettin me eat i wouldnt let you stealth back so all you got is your kidney shot every 1 min..

actually... rogues along with shamans are probably the hardest class to play in terms of PvP... so many cool downs to keep track of and the amount of CC that goes around is pretty rediculous.
however i will say that i have only done a few random arenas in guild wars and im pretty confused haha. im pretty new =P 1 month in as a sin.

Guild wars 2 is not released yet, its going to be more like other RPG games. Nightfall is expansion game for Guild wars 1, having nighfall game allows you to acess new areas and skills.

Hey WoWHunter it is a fun game mostly for the pvp. The lvling gets boring cause you can get a char to max lvl which is 20 in an hour to 2 hours and beat factions and proph nightfall and eotn in no time but you should try it

No. Not in the gaming world. Look it up. When it comes to gaming these things are separate. Skill refers to things such as reactions, aiming, awareness, focus.. and not fake awareness/focus stats the real kind.
It's an endless debate between hardcore and casual gamers. Casual like to think they play skillful games so they argue with the facts, and the actual definition does include tactics and strategy like you said, but, when it comes to gaming, the word skill does refer to something different

ox+mobius strike = infinite knockdown ftw :) this is why i quit GW because if you dont use a build thats updated with the current pvp you will fail, so you have to use a build that they tell you to use rendering any customization unless all you do is RA but that shit gets boring fast.

as far as it looking good, its the best game out there. playablility and gameplay is the best. only thing lacking is the depth of per class build recustomisation. basically no talent trees lol :\. Even with the stigmas. But the game looks amazing.. visuals and gameplay ( i played 5 out of 6 betas.. )

I wouldn't recommend it, i bought GW Factions for £12 off there site, the game lasted about 2 days for me, it locks up.. and uses all the energy of a spell if you decide to stop casting it, it's click to move, you can't keybind and there's only 8 spells to use at anyone time, and 1 almost always has to be a rez signet..
games really not even worth 12 pound
GW is more like a single player console game for the PS2, load of shite honestly

Glad my opinion saved you >£12 not sure what games i'd recommend, WoW does it for me (RPG wise)
MW2 and CSS (FPS wise)
Havn't tried Aion or Guildwars 2 yet though, apparently you can swim mount and jump in GW2.. maybe they've made this better? not sure though

Yeah, CSS and WoW are the most competative Player vs Player games for the genre, i play MW2 for the PC, that's pretty awesome.. accuracy is alot better than the xbox360 version, which i've been playing the last 3 days at my uncles :P
i find on the xbox360 version, when you spot someone your right trigger before left trigger.
shoot at hip fire and aim while spraying, on the PC, you'd aim before the shot
good game on both, but i'd prefer the PC version because i'm better at playing it :P
