  • love the amp but its just not my sound

  • By the way, I find that the stage-60 as more feature then de ht-40. I'm 58 years old and grew up with classic rock...well you know. I feel that the HT-40 is lacking clarity on the overdrive section and less bass. Anyway, I'm waiting for your opinion. Thanks in advance...by the way, I'M french Canadian so...sorry about the bad English.

  • That amp just sounds weird...Like too much treble, too much crystaline sounding.

  • @orfmor Agreed !

  • Great demo, Thanks a lot man!! Cant wait to get my hands on one

  • @54Offwall Nstuffmusic has them for $849.99 with free shipping.

  • blackstar ht5r combo or this ?

  • @SirMuddyPaws Depends what your doing. Are you playing at home or live? If your playing live with a band a would go with the HT Stage 60. For home use the HT5R would be great.

  • @SirMuddyPaws I played both of them yesterday my the local guitar shop.

The HT5R is real nice, but you'd be struggling to be heard in a band.

HT Stage 60 is (in my opinion) the best Blackstar amp under the Series One's

  • would this amp be suitable for home use?

  • @ryansiew1 It's more than you need for home but it will still work. They make a HT40 and a HT20 that have lower wattage and are a little smaller.

  • im stuck between this and a marshall vintage modern. I play alot of old school rock but my band plays modern rock. Im looking for something with balls and lots of mids to get that heavy tone. any suggestions?

  • @varone6t9 Hmmmmm...Both amps are great amps...I do think the Blackstar may have the edge on versatility, it has a few different voicings. The Marshall does have that legendary tone, but it is one tone.

  • @NstuffMusic thank you for the advice. I just finished playing this amp for a solid hour at a local shop. My mind is pretty set on the gem. Thank you very much!

  • we want to hear the fucking high gain palm mute not that shit and stupid "riffs"

  • @guri141: well said my breathren!!!!

  • @trevinor3 hate this vids, i DONT WANT TO HEAR blues riffs, the fucking clean channel, hate em i swear.

  • @gurimp hate is a wasted emotion. Just switch over to another demo video of this amp. There is a lot of variety.

  • I know that this isn't popular...but please check out my Blackstar demo as well :) I'm demonstrating how it sounds like on both a Les Paul and a Stratocaster!

  • can that humming be tamed with a noise gate? or is it something in the amp that makes it hum?

  • @ThePleaoftheforsaken The Amp has a tone of gain it can definitely be tamed with a noise gate.

  • How well does this handle big, heavy, crushing sounds?

  • @HurricaneTBag It's great for that. It's a very versatile amp. $849.99 AT NSTUFFMUSIC.

  • playing jazz on an ibanez with emg's just doesn't cut it.

  • @SpankieDublin33 They're INF1 INF2 and INFS pickups. Passive pickups made by Ibanez.

  • @shredicon86 Oh. My bad. They look a lot like EMG's.

  • @SpankieDublin33 Yeah, pretty non descript looking pickups.

  • Is the 40 watt loud enough for church without being micd

  • @ryancoleman3 It should be good. It's definitely loud enough but if you want it to stay really clean it might break up a little but that might be a good thing too.

  • really like it's sounds!! think i'm gonna go try one out soon and maybe buy it : )

  • would this be loud enough for a gig? i just really want to make the right decision as this will be £700 ! :L

  • @mosher0rocker ive got the 40 watt version and its definetly loud enough, the 60 is even louder. bare in mind. in a bedroom situation the 60 will sound worse at lower levals i feel, as it isnt loud enough to get any good tone from it

  • @kona6495 i bought it now its brilliant :D

  • @mosher0rocker 60 watts tube power is enough buddy, you wont need to raise the volume a lot :D If you still need that extra boost, get a microphone and use it with a PA :)

  • @mosher0rocker I can tell you that this will be more then what you need for any gig haha

  • I like to play all kinds of rock music, would this be better or a Marshall MA100?

  • @SuperMetalHead97 i like the Blackstar HT60 better $659.99 at nstuffmusic.

  • @SuperMetalHead97 MA series is an economic series made in China. Blackstar is ten thousand times better.

  • Hmm.. I would say that the Ibanez isn't too good of a guitar to use for demonstrating clean tones.. But thats just me. I have nothing against Ibanez its just I would rather see that used for metal or some high gain stuff.

  • I play lots of styles (from indie super clean delayed tones, to heavy raw metal sounds), is this a very versatile amp? :)

also, i love big muff like tone, how well does this amp takes effects (gain in front and some cool mod delay effects on the loop)?

    thanks :)

  • @frankibiris76r I think they work well with pedals.

  • @frankibiris76r I have this amp and it's is very versatile. You can have super nice cleans and heavy distortion. And it works well with pedals (I don't use distortion pedals on clean channel, I have the OD1 channel set low on gain and I boost it with TS/RC Booster/BB Preamp). The clean channel sounds amazing with delay.

  • Hi I was wondering what you think would be a better amp for punk. This or the Fender Hot Rod Deville 212?

  • @TheOfficeSeries I like the Blackstar HT Stage 60 it has more gain and a wider range of sound.

  • @NstuffMusic Thank you

  • Hey man really like your style of playing. would you say you could get a good jazzy tone out of this amp as well? mine is coming to me on tuesday. cannot not wait.

  • Great review. Keep 'em coming!

  • The amps have a master volume, so also at practice volumes they should sound okay.

  • @PieterFW This amp works great at practice volume because you can turn up the master output and turn down the preamp output.

  • how will this amp sound at a practice volume?

  • HT 60W or renegade 65W?

  • @tawanwalking for the money HT all the way!

  • @tawanwalking thats what i cant decide on. i have narrowed it to those two amps

  • How does this 60 version compares with the smaller 40/20? does the global presence and resonance knob sound better?

  • I love the sound of this amp. Later on you can always add another 2X12 cab for a total of a 4X12. Very nice price also.

  • These are incredible amps, nice review.
