Why do some people so ignorantly assume that a gastric band is an ALTERNATIVE to diet and exercise? All the band does is make you feel full quicker. You still have to completely change your lifestyle: eating habits and fitness regime, to actually lose weight and get fit.

i"m not here to bash women, but this just proves she ate to much & did no exercise. otherwise she wouldn"t of lost weight. she is mentally quite lazy. i am 35 weigh the same as when i was 19, simply because i exercise. its what the human body is designed for! although she is thinner by not being able to eat very much, i bet her heart is not very strong which can only be strengthened by cardio exercise.... i doubt she does any.

Lorraine made people believe for years that being a bit overweight was ok and she championed plump women saying how fab it was...then she made weight loss and keep fit videos and suddenly she herself seemed to reverse what she was preaching to thousands of women......how do you think that makes all these women feel ??

She can so what she likes, but she lead the public to believe she had lost weight eating less and excersising more. I am sure she does, as she says, do these things more, but a gastric band is the real reason she lost weight. She mislead the public, why didn't she just say "I have lost weight because I had a gastric band fitted". I am sure people would have had a lot more respect for her. Having said all that I think she will be missed a great deal on the programme. She is very likeable.
