@rjereza I heard that B.M.W can also be an insult to women. This is something my German Professor told me, he has spent a lot of time in Germany and once lived there for I think 2 years.
@videouzleg Take a look: I know my great grandfather`s family is from Bavaria. (I=Ich, know=weiß, my=mein, great grandfather= Urgroßvater, family=Familie, is=ist, from=von/aus, Bavaria=Bayern) Ich weiß, dass die Familie meines Urgroßvaters aus Bayern stammte. you see some differences: 1. the comma 2. more words: dass=that, stammte=came 3. verb is in the end 4. Upper and Lower case is different you can see its very different isn´t it? and that was a simple sentence!

Probably because so many German-American immigrants come from Bavaria or near Bavaria. I know my great grandfather`s family is from Bavaria.

BTW what percentage of german vocabulary is same as english vocabulary someone told me 20%, but if I could hear it from a local man would be great?
But I guess german grammar is much different english?

some english slang words are really invented.
like of course "cool".
my friends and i use the word "fooden" from food. it means "eat something"
