  • No sympathy for these bloomin' idiots who lose their homes to a freakin' lava flow. Like a guy who breaks into a lion den in a zoo, and is killed. You know the risk and danger, if you roll the dice and a seven pops up, deal with it, or don't roll the dice to begin with.

  • fuck going to sleep in thoose houses, easy to outrun a lava flow? yh when your fucking awake, imagine going to sleep and waking up to your house surrounded by lava, i dont fucking think so.

  • i wanna live close to lava.

  • Typical haoles.,''Not 2 Smart''. land is cheap for a reason on the Big Island. DUMB~ASSES buys houses by an active volcano... gee it's only a matter of time before Pele reclaims her lands.

  • These guys live near lava flows. thats badass.

  • @mmffl123456 it's cheaper to live there

  • They need some wet water to douse that hot lava.

  • that volcano is startin to drive me nuts lol

  • I HAVE A TV AS WELL EXCEPT I DONT WATCH VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS ON IT

  • @TheXbonesification No. You watch them on Youtube instead. lol XD

  • @TheXbonesification just on youtube videos like these.

  • Havaiian: Welcome to Hawaii

    You: Oh thank you!

Havaiian: OH SHIT, THATS MY HOUSE!!!

  • They could have some comeback on the estate agent if they were not warned about the dangers associated with a house on the side of a volcano.

  • lava hardens right so its still lava but just cold every one

  • LOL EdikShepherd...I was thinking the exact same thing!

  • the guy with the moustache looks a bit...high

  • LAVA! HOT LAVA!

  • if you live in hawaii the big island and someone comes that asks for food they say that is pele godess of lava or fire something in disguise so give her food and let here into your house and she might spare your life in a lava flow

  • Volcanic lava flows, mafic or felsic or pryoclastic move a lot faster than you think.

  • When these two idiots call for help to be rescued, I hope Hawai'i bills them for the entire cost of the rescue: gas for the helicopters, supplies used in the rescue, and ALL the salaries for everyone involved.

  • @Woody615 Don't be so fucking mean. They are not in any immediate danger and well it's their choice to live there.

  • This is a good video foreal.

  • Lava doesn't burn Chuck Norris, Chuck Norris burns lava.

  • @fizzymojorider lawl

  • HARD HOT water

  • Sure its easy to outrun a lava flow; but like incoming tides you can easily get surrounded and trapped

  • I don't know how these people can stay. I've been to the Big Island. The smoke and the gas from the lava is unbearable even if you are yards away from the lava. The lava is slow flowing but you can get trapped by the hot lava and rocks. These people should leave.

  • That will happen, in the PNW all we have to worry about are mud flows and and the perodicial Cascadia Earthquake, we're due for another one!

  • Let's just say that "a different breed" lives in this area of Hawai'i. I found that out when looking for property in the Kau area, like in H.O.V.E. Very eclectic folks.

  • Hawaii doesn't produce pyroclastic flows like Vesuvius does. Kilauea erupts so frequently that no significant pressure can build up.

  • yeah, Hawaiian Volcanoes are usually shied volcanoes. They don't explode because their gases have lower pressure...

  • Mr. Poptart, Kiluwea is a constantly erupting volcano, so the pressure isn't building and has not been building. The lava just runs out of it. There is no danger of an explosive eruption. It's the difference between filling up a water balloon until it bursts and trying to fill up a water balloon with a hole cut in it. Besides, the people at Pompei were buried in ash. ASH. Not lava. Pyrolcastic flows killed them. Not lava flows. Do you see ash coming from Kiluwea?

  • yeah, people don't usually die from lava flows because they're REALLY slow moving, even if they have low vicosity. They are fast, but you can usually outrun them. people are mostly killed by inhaling ash and getting hit or rained on by the tephra and the pyroclastic flows which are like really hot and goes at more then 100 km/h. O.O

  • Mr.poptart 180 that is nice really good

  • you wake up in the middle of the night, and there is lava surrounding your bed, what do you do? out run it, no, you are surrounded. sounds like a video game premise

  • lava is more then 1000 degrees celcius. If you can sleep through the approaching heat, then you deserve to die. LMAO.

  • LOL that is true! or you are Chuck Norris and you can't die. . .

  • @220duckie no

  • @YonOtto It was just a joke! LOL

  • @220duckie Or was it. . .

  • "I have...free heat."

  • lol

  • thats what happens when you eat to much beans

  • Quick!!!! Quick!!!! We need to call Al Gore and stop these horrible volcanoes from spewing this crap into our precious environment. We are going to have to cap every volcano and scrub the toxic gasses coming out!!! We are going to have to put every resource we have on this!!! It will only cost 100 trillion dollars but we can get it done!!

  • you'll make them explode more.

and Volcanoes actually sometimes cause Global Cooling. >.>

  • you may be able to out run it in the day but what about when your sleep and lave can be thick or thin runny or thick so depending on the tipe of lava comineg out depends if u can or carnt out run it and that also depends if u was unlucky enough to sleep and have it run under your home and if u was traped u would be able to get away from it because lava will burn your skin off of your bones but u will still be able to get out if u got the will to live

  • 1883 when it erupted it was the biggest ever eruption in recorded history,The volcanoe used to be 6000 feet high and 10 miles across it blew 80 percent off its self up

  • Do people in Hawaii have volcano insurance?

  • @haphazardharlot um..idk ..

  • That guys at the end: "I have quite a good life. I have my feet, I have my back, I have my TV, Radio". What priorities! Reminds me of that song, "I got life".

    "I got my arms

    I got my hands

    I got my fingers

    Got my legs

    I got my feet

I got my TV, got my radio"

He'd be happy with just the TV, mouth, stomach and a full fridge.

  • sick bastard

  • They should have shown lava burning this guys pot plants!!!

  • this guys cool

  • That is why I don't live in Hawaii

  • I know the inside scoop. These guys are pot growers in kalapana gardens on Kona side. Supersticious islanders say that "pelee" the volcanoe goddess" is mad at the growers and wiped them out. MMMM they were pot growers but "pelee"????

  • its pele. and kalapana gardens is nowhere near kona.....

  • On Kona SIDE !!!.. Where do you live... The mainland???

  • what the fuck r u talking about

  • Hmmm, idk bout you but im sitting here watching this going, good god MOVE!! when there is lava coming at your house its God's way of saying GET THE FUCK OUT!

  • Why do they call it hot lava? Is there such a thing as cold lava? I didn't think so.

  • hey! thats my joke! :(

  • @EdikShepherd maybe there is averagely hot lava?

  • @EdikShepherd

    Rock?

  • @EdikShepherd the propper name is magmum

  • @imurjesus1 magma is what it is callewd as it is in the magma chamber. Magmum is not a word. Lava is above ground.

  • @alyshaya yea i know lol i was talking to my brother about dirty harry or something like that and he was talking about the 357 magmum and he got me sidetracked

  • @imurjesus1 d then shortly after i realizd it was magNUM

  • @EdikShepherd hot lava when its hot,. when it gets dry its cold,. they just trying to explain clearly because its a news and no need for missundertanding

  • @stupidYOOTUBE when it get's dry and cold, it's not called lava anymore.

  • @EdikShepherd actually there its called a rock youi know when it hardens....

  • @april76301 *facepalm* then it's not lava anymore is it?

  • @EdikShepherd lava hardens lava hardens because its not cold = cold lava

  • @april76301 But it's still hot even when it becomes rock for a while

  • @EdikShepherd Why did you ask that?

  • @IZrocks1000 It's a rhetorical question

  • @EdikShepherd Even so.

  • @EdikShepherd i know fucken morons ! lol

  • @EdikShepherd yes there is so called cold lava, but if you put your hand in there it stil burns and effect is quite same than hot lava.... google if you are interested =D

  • @EdikShepherd exactly what i was thinking .... lava not hot lava

  • @EdikShepherd I think that's like raw toast.

  • @EdikShepherd Cold lava is dryyy HEHEHEHEHE

  • @EdikShepherd Psh I wish, then my dream of touching it would come true. Lmao.

  • @EdikShepherd

Indeed. That is similar to the expression "whole entire". Drives me nuts.

  • @EdikShepherd: "Cold lava" = lava rocks

  • @NickB1967 Rocks are not lava

  • @NickB1967 No, those are just rocks, what do you think regular rocks are in it's molten state? lava.

  • @dannes22 Lava rocks is lava cooled you idiot. some with lava still in it.

  • @freaky4637 -.- that's a different thing, My misunderstanding.

  • No, cold lava is the shit that makes rock.

  • cold lava is my shit

  • You shit rocks?

  • He must have bowels of steel then :).

  • Actually there is no such thing as cold lava. Lava flow is from shield volcanoes which are made from mafic rock (basalt and gabbro) this is why they are so dark. There is cooling lava--made of basalt which is very hot (it cools on the surface so it is extrusive) and there is gabbro which is the intrusive (cools underground) rock partner to basalt, it is the magma that hardens underground. Hahaha sorry I had a geology exam today

  • Which geology course did you have an exam for? Is this an elective or are you trying for a geology degree?

  • actually it was an intro level geology course. i wanted to major in meteorological geology but there was too much math involved haha. i'm about to get my bachelors in psychology and the geology courses fulfill a section in my major

  • I always thought valcanos are the best way to get rid of trash and helicopter the trash and dump it in and let it all melt and burn up.

  • lol unfortunately the same enviromental arguments used against waste incinerators still apply.

  • but that is just fire.

lava will melt ANYTHING (minus metal)

  • actualy lava can melt metal the only metal it cant melt is titanium

  • there are some others... but of the common metals yeah.

  • Although I am pleased GAIA is striking back by taking out 3 homes of modern urban humanity,GAIA would do better to save up all her internal energy for a much bigger catacysm to better curtail humanity and its encroachments. But then,GAIA is too stupid too have method in its actions.

  • hehe call it mother nature the gaia is just a mythological name refering to a god that never existed -.-... besides, you are helping them humans to destroy earth by using computers. if u rlly hate humans that much you wouldnt be writting here.

  • Pretty soon, you could have hot running water.

  • Yeah, it's easy to outrun a lava flow. But if movies like Dante's Peak have showed us anything, it can fucking surround you.

  • waaaaaaait jack tompson? isnt that the guy who whines about video game voilence?

  • i love how its "hot" lava. what, you think its cold or something?

  • That's a good point, actually.

  • true true. you would think "hot" would be self evident.

  • i guess cold lava would be a rockslide XD

  • hahahaha ya

  • The Bible says that in the Last Days there will be those who will deny the coming of Jesus Christ and at the same time they will deny Creation and the Flood as recorded in the Bible. With such denials prevalent today, do you think we are living in the Last Days?

  • may i ask please what religion you are?

  • I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to wash away my sins. Jesus loves you and He died for you to, believe and be saved.

  • i do believe my friend, god bless you to

  • all hail darth vader

  • That's fine stuff, but what does all that have to do with a lava flow consuming some houses? This is a simple case of Planet Earth in action. Volcanics are a way the Earth gets rid of internal heat. A lot of people in the world have a habit of building and living near volcanoes. Interactions between the two has been going on for millennia. This is nothing new. You see a lava flow burn some homes and suddenly we're all "in the Last Days"? Let's not take this out of context!

  • Exactly, the fertile soils that around volcanoes mean people are likely to build around there for the good farming.

  • Update on this story: The gentleman at the end of the interview died 5 min. after the report when he tried to show the reporter he could outrun the lava and ran off a cliff.

  • My house got burn.

  • "its easy to outrun a lava flow" hehe, only in Hawaii

  • try sleeping knowing your home could be burned in your sleep

  • lol that would suck...you wake up and ur bed is surrounded by lava and on fire sinking slowly

  • LOL

  • Just hang a smoke alarm in your house.

  • but what if the lava is all ninja and disables it before it goes off

  • LOL wtf T_T ninja lava Dx NUUU!!! Nothing beats a ninja... what could posibly beat a ninja lava O_O

  • master cheif lava XD. hed bxr you if you realized you could outrun him

  • A pirate could beat a ninja

  • lol pirate lava would plunder your house

  • it's still going today

  • LAWL jack thompsom

    That is incredible

  • that would suck
