  • Thank you ever so much for writing the composer and pianist was the late Mr. Loonis McGlohon. Considering his long stellar career, I was very surprised to learn of him only know. His eulogy, a video on You Tube, was more than for which anyone might wish.

  • There is an excellent studio version of this. Go to "The Folks Who Live on the Hill" on YouTube and read my comments on "The Bridges Of Madison County" Soundtrack CD and a subsequent CD called something like "More from the Soundtrack of the Bridges of Madison County". They collectively contain all of an excellent out-of-print Johnny Hartman Album with first-rate musicians on Beehive Records, which only issued 25 LPs. I am glad I found the CDs because I really wore the album out.

  • @ghairraigh could you upload it? it would be a great favour to every Hartman fan out there.

  • @drongovids The follow-up CD is "Remembering Madison County", which contains "Nobody Home" from 'Once In My Life' LP by Johnny Hartman. I'll try to dig it out...

  • Like it

  • These are the wonderful things that we valued...that are no longer valued...and Johnny tells us in song so elegantly...we love you Johnny.

  • I cannot improve on the five previous comments. Please, who is the composer and lyricist. There are more than twenty-one songs with the same title. None found match this highest craftsmanship.

  • @iz4yt good point. I'll get on the case and try find out.

  • @iz4yt The exact tiltle of this song is "Nobody Home" writen by Loonis McGlohon. This video is best performance of Johnyy Hartman. Because the accompanist is Mr. Loonis McGlohon himself.

  • The greatest and yet probably the least known (by the masses that is) of the crooners... Oh well. He's touched my life...

  • Simply sublime, the greatest crooner in jazz music.

    Thanks for magnificent post

  • Class and warmth and that magnificent instrument...the vibrato, the richness....thanks you for posting. Johnny Hartman, RIP.

  • For 3 minutes you can forget all your problems

  • Exceptional performence!

Thank you very much for uploading this!
