  • Horrible!!!!!Worst viking movie ever!!!!

  • this movie sucked.

  • And it is a miss understanding that vikings had horns on their helmets. Although not in battles they only used those with ceremonial rituals and stuff.

  • stupid movie...

  • lame movie...

  • I have to say, this movie portrais vikings as Chaos lords or something, Vikigns came to Vínland by accident and wanted to trait with the native americans, not slaugther them for no reason. And Also the ICelandic in this movie sucksssss

  • I thought Orcs invaded Azeroth, not America.

  • привет!америкосы! как кинч ??!!!!))))

  • Dynamic movie with breathtaking scenes. Thumbs Up

  • savage northerners.

  • This was such a sick movie.

  • These "vikings" are a total chaos warriors ripoff . Come on: spiked helmets, spiked shields, even their drakar looks like Norscan chaos ships. They are cruel like chaos warrior (vikings were not mindless brutes like that) and are something like 2m50 tall.

I'm sure i even saw a eight pointed star on one of their armor :D

  • this is so wrong! its nothign like the original story pf the pathfinder! 1. it was supposed to be in the nothern part of europe not USA! 2. the "vikings wasnt vikings at all they were thiefs from russia or sommthing! and 3. they were supposed to be sami. i dont realy care but we just saw the old movie on school and this is soo wrong!

  • Sorry, buddy. The raiders in Ofelas were Finns. Someone might think it offensive to us, but we don't take it as an offence. It is important to remember also the evil things one's people has done. To learn to avoid them in future.

Yeah, I agree this Hollywood "remake" has NOTHING of the mystical atmosphere left.

  • nice battle scenes but those vikings look like almost Chaos Warriors from Warhammer :)

  • Finaly someone says it! no i'm not the only one!!

  • I would say that Chaos Warriors look like Vikings ;-)

  • well GW said they wanted chaos look like barbarians/Vikings =) but yeah in this movie I think Vikings look a bit "chaotic"

  • @Kapelannew Chaos Warriors are suposed to look like vikings since the "Northmen" that live in North of Empire are "nordic like" is that people that worship Chaos thats why they looked like vikings they pretty much are vikings

  • @ImperialGuard9001 You are right in al means . But Dont you think in this movie the actual vikings look ..... a bit too evil ....they look like actual Chaos warriors insted of Vikings.

  • @Deserverger lol

  • Nooooo!!!! Vikings used Axe and spears!!! Only the high kings and petty kings used swords. He he.

    Cool movie no matter.

  • That´s the true and they haven't horns on thier helmets or wasn't any murderous and scavaging brutes!

  • @petkol Not realy swords were used by all vikings

  • @ImperialGuard9001 I think you are mixing Seax with the classical looking 'viking' sword used by those of high birth. A regular sword would cost as much as 18 cows back then, so no. Only landowners or higher warriors. The settlers were nothing more then lowborn farmers, which equate as a typical Leidangr levy.

250 years after this event, Leidangr were required to hold a red shield, a spear and a bow for every 2nd man. Only Burghers-class were aslo required to wear a sword and better armour.

  • @petkol Thats true but sometimes simple freeman could wear swords aswell they tend to wear spears and axes more because was cheapier but you probaly could find someone with a sword. I dont know wich type of men went into America tougth but of them all that went I would guess someone had sword xD. This movie is clearly not historicaly so they wear swords they could even wear machine guns XD the audince probaly would chear for that

  • @petkol Nope, they used also short swords as a backup weapon.

  • @hiperkameleon I think we should seperate vikings in 2 groups:

The lesser magnates and their armoured retinue (huscarls) who could could aford such armourment.

Then there are the comman freeman, lead by (example a Hauld-family). You may call their equipment seax if you want, but it's rather a short cutting knife used in their trade. Their prime weapon was spears and axes, and not swords.

Both these groups can be called vikings, but only the lesser group ever ventured from greenland.

  • @petkol It's very problematic aspect becouse of their voyages when they could easily gather foreign weapons, and seax was in many versions.

  • @hiperkameleon Well, I'm saying it's highly unlikly, considering these settlers orginated from Greenland, then from Island, and then from Norway. I don't really see any other orgin. And since "Norway" have never ever been known for their exceptional technology advancement in armourment I simply can't see how the icelanders, then greenlenders, and then Vinland freemen would even think to bother to use their well earned resources on something that useless. Both weight and economic reasons.

  • @petkol According to what you said, those swords was a symbol of wealth, and everybody wants to be reacognized as a wealthy men, so then they can do such a thing, especialy that some of swords was quite eqspensive at that era.

Most of Vikings was fisherman, some of them fouth against each other, but others was doing rides for gods across the ocean area and river banks, they even went to america. :)

  • @hiperkameleon I read the first part of both you paragraphs, but then fall out of logical and what your actually trying to say, sorry. :S

  • @petkol That's becouse english isn't my language. :P

  • @petkol they also didn't have horns on their helmets, but I suppose it looks scarier in the movies this way

  • @petkol Vikigns used swords? they were fine craftsmen, I should know, I'm from Iceland

  • An interesting movie.

It is about the exploits of the Viking warrior Ghost (Karl Urban) who was adopted by a Native American tribe as a child and later helps them battle his own kind.

  • i saw this movie and really enjoyed it. it reminded me quite a bit of the first conan movie..
