  • its true sterling sharpe was unstoppable

  • Whoever dislike this speech go to hell

  • Manly tears were shed that day

  • I worked for the NFL last year, I ran in to him a few times. Funny, kind, hell of a class act.

  • How is it that when you listen to his CBS commentary, you can't understand a word he says.....here....I heard every word....

  • Favre to Sharpe is the reason I started liking Greenbay. Sterling has some numbers for only playing 7 years. At least consider him for HOF induction.

  • 12:06 will make you cry

  • anyone cry?

  • it gotta be an ass on here to dislike this smh

  • Couldn't stop crying when he spoke about that last part about his grandmother it really hit home

  • The best speech I've ever heard

  • Wow I love this speech class all the way!

  • @oneluv72 I would just like to thank the judge for letting me off the hook with the murder charge! Id imagine that line should be in there.

  • this speech was amazing. stole the night from sanders. I cried when talked about his grandma. best one of all time I think, with irvin close second

  • 84

  • Didn't expect this from Shannon Sharpe. He is a good dude.

  • I have a lot more respect for Shannon Sharpe after this speech. I always liked him but wow. That was a very truthful and humbling speech. He seems like a great guy.

  • I cried. Fuck it I cried.

  • Who the hell disliked this?

  • Shannon Sharpe is a very altruistic person.

  • This was the best HOF speech that I have ever seen. However Jim Kelly's speech made me cry for an hour...look it up and watch it...i dare you not to cry

  • Had Sterling Sharpe played another 4-6 years, he'd be in the HOF slam dunk..

  • @Canuck204 no doubt! he was great!

  • @Canuck204

He had a serious neck injury. It was one of those "Leave or take the chance of ruining your life" kind of deals. Wish he stayed long enough to win a Super Bowl. That would have gotten him in for sure.

  • great speech, and he spoke the truth, if Sterling didn't have to deal with injuries he'd be in the HOF for sure

  • funny guy

  • One of the greatest hall of fame speeches ever.

  • "I may be in the Hall of Fame, but I'm the "second" best player in my family"....

  • Sorry Shannon, but im upping those 84 likes to 85

  • shannon had his restitution

  • Whoever thinks of hitting the dislike on this video needs to go back to 12:05-12:25, this made me gain so much more respect for Shannon Sharpe.

  • @thekidcuse2000: there is always one turd that hits the dislike button. That is the world we live in.

  • @theocratickingdom30 I agree and it sucks because these guys are legends getting hate for what? They're on top now

  • Chargers, Raiders, and Chiefs fans probably disagree with this video

  • @daveyg8499 I'm a Chargers fan and I thought this was a great speech.

  • WOW! That's all I can say.

  • Only Shannon Sharpe could deliver such a moving, heartfelt, and all-around perfect speech.

  • I think that was just a joke. bc all the previous ones were saying how they had so much time even the redskins player said he was selling some of his minutes.

  • What a great speech... but what did he mean at the end when he said "thank you for allowing me to share 14 minutes and 23 seconds of your time."?

  • @GRE8NESS1

It was just a joke, he knew his speech was much longer than that

  • who are the people talking

  • This is the best hall of fame speech i've seen

  • by far the best speech of any sport.

  • Life changing stuff

  • I agree. I was thinking the best speech would be from Deion Sanders but Sharpe totally was the shining star with his humble speech. I mean saying he was the only hall of famer to say he was the second best football player in his family wow (brought tears to sterling's eyes). The only person that I think tops his speech was Barry Sanders

  • This is what I call the speech of all speeches. It touched the depths of my soul as it brought tears to my eyes. His paying homage to his Granny was very touching and that is understatement, for words can`t do it justice. His speech was real, honest, raw and heartfelt. He put his emotions into words most eloquently. He sais he could see his Granny smiling as she laid in her casket...wow, what hyperbole. He did indeed bring his Granny to life with his oratory.

  • Best speech ever!
