I have a lot more respect for Shannon Sharpe after this speech. I always liked him but wow. That was a very truthful and humbling speech. He seems like a great guy.
This was the best HOF speech that I have ever seen. However Jim Kelly's speech made me cry for an hour...look it up and watch it...i dare you not to cry
He had a serious neck injury. It was one of those "Leave or take the chance of ruining your life" kind of deals. Wish he stayed long enough to win a Super Bowl. That would have gotten him in for sure.
I think that was just a joke. bc all the previous ones were saying how they had so much time even the redskins player said he was selling some of his minutes.
I agree. I was thinking the best speech would be from Deion Sanders but Sharpe totally was the shining star with his humble speech. I mean saying he was the only hall of famer to say he was the second best football player in his family wow (brought tears to sterling's eyes). The only person that I think tops his speech was Barry Sanders
This is what I call the speech of all speeches. It touched the depths of my soul as it brought tears to my eyes. His paying homage to his Granny was very touching and that is understatement, for words can`t do it justice. His speech was real, honest, raw and heartfelt. He put his emotions into words most eloquently. He sais he could see his Granny smiling as she laid in her casket...wow, what hyperbole. He did indeed bring his Granny to life with his oratory.
its true sterling sharpe was unstoppable

I worked for the NFL last year, I ran in to him a few times. Funny, kind, hell of a class act.

How is it that when you listen to his CBS commentary, you can't understand a word he says.....here....I heard every word....

Favre to Sharpe is the reason I started liking Greenbay. Sterling has some numbers for only playing 7 years. At least consider him for HOF induction.

Had Sterling Sharpe played another 4-6 years, he'd be in the HOF slam dunk..
