I have high respect for Rosie, but I completely dislike Pierce. From what I have observed, he doesn't seem like a genuine man and, in most cases, has a slight air of pretentiousness. Larry King, on the other hand, knew how to conduct himself and was a pro. On another note, I will never understand America's compulsory need to throw the spotlight on British journalists on American TV - as if there's an inferiority complex. An American would never get a show on the BBC, for example...
@Adria83 It isn't true, an American has had a show on the BBC. The comedienne Ruby Wax had a talk show from 1991-2003 on BBC1, actually, three talk shows, daytime, prime time and late night.
Every person is given their own game called LIFE with rules, specific game pieces and obstacles that we have to maneuver on our own. No two people are given the same choices or set of circumstances. Nobody has the right in pretending that our decisions are above anyone else's choice in how to survive this life. Rosie has made the world a better place by making the best of her life's circumstances and has overcome obstacles many never will understand. She has earned true respect and admiration.
Interesting interview considering I'm fond of neither Rosie nor Piers. Gay life or straight life is each persons personal life. I don't flaunt my heterosexuality and I don't want homosexuals to flaunt themselves to the world. I don't like homosexual issues shoved in my face. We are all troubled and/or flawed in some way, and it is our own responsibility to deal with those problems or demons. As far as sexuality, birth control and abortion, politics/govt need to bow out of peoples personal lives.
@oharras And what exactly constitutes "flaunting" homosexuality? As far as i can tell, any acknowledgement or visibility given to gayness at all is considered flaunting, yet heterosexual people can make out in public all they want and no one is really bothered. Issues shoved in your face? Well, queer people get killed, harrassed, and denied civil rights, so maybe it's your responsibility as an American to be aware of these issues.
@oharras i mean, that's like saying that it was the blacks' own responsibility to be able to vote and not get lynched, and they didn't need to shove their "issues" in anyone's face. These people aren't that different from you, so maybe you should care about your fellow citizens who are treated like subhumans.
I love Rosie, ever since I was 10 years old, I've been watching her The Rosie Show. I would come home from school running just to see someone who could make me laugh =) She speaks her mind and she's funny. True comedians speak the truth even if it offends people. Those people don't have a sense of humor lol
I think being gay is "wrong" in a biological sense. Considering homosexuality to be a medical problem isn't wrong from a scientific perspective, just a social one.
You fall in love with who you do and why do other people have the right to say that it's wrong if it is female or male. I don't think it makes a big difference. It is sad that we hate people for the dumbest reason like skin color or the way they look or dress or who they love. Why not care about the real issuses of how we treat people or why we turn away from someone who needs help or why we kill one another in the name of peacekeeping?
@iramfoley - People say it's wrong because God said it is wrong. 22 “‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable. Leviticus 18:22 13 “‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. Leviticus 20:13
rosie rocks. she did so much not only for lgbt community (silently) but also for kids and for the katrina victims. all of which were not publicized. who cares if shes loud. she'd done so much goodness to make up for her loudness.
@Scene68 Yes, I would say Rosie has many, many issues. That's why most people hate her and her shows always get cancelled. I'd say that goes for you too.... ._.
@Scene68 Azzwipe....who the f are you to tell me what I can or can't watch? You're probably mad because I interrupted you and your vibrator from climaxing to Rosie. Can't you find a better looking dyke to masturbate to? Ask yourself that. YSF. By the way, don't bother writing back. I've blocked you and your vibrator.
LOVE YA RO !!!!!!! Very nice interview. Peirs SHOULD HA VE brought up the good movies as well as the one he felt the need to bash. He`s never made a movie. Just sayin .........
Here is the theory I have been holding onto for a long time. The US is so conservative because of the PILGRIMS coming in here during the Mayflower. All the religious people that were denied to practice in the UK and Ireland went here instead. It's so sad.
I notice that Piers likes to talk about LGBT issues. He often asks people what their positions are on gays. I love that, because it's one of the first things that I want to know about anyone.
@tessiewuzzie wrote ".the last time piers interviewed Rosie o donell, she stormed off the set."
---
I don't know if you're joking but no ... that was CHRISTINE O'Donnell, an airhead Tea Party politician. She is against homosexuality and masturbation, and stormed off when Piers confronted her on it. Rosie loves gays and masturbation. :)
You can see the video of Christine O'Donnell in my channel.
I like Rosie but I disagree with her perspective that anyone who doesn't talk about their sexuality has a false reality. Some people simply do not feel that it's anyone's business. Frankly I agree. I don't care who you bonk .. if you're nice you're nice and if you're not, you're not ... I care more about how you behave as a human to another.
I especially like the fact that Piers didn't shy away from an awkward issue: He is a friend of Donald Trump but Rosie had a well-known feud with Trump. The topic was handled well by both. My only wish was that they also discuss her feuds with Barbara Walters and Kelly Rippa.
@lgbtTV4 Im glad she spoke out against those awful republican candidates.
Im so glad I live in the UK not the US, because as Peirs said, politicians tend not to exploit the gay bashing cards to win votes here like they do in the US
terk brought me here :P

Piers sounds so pompous. He seems to have a hard time connecting with whoever he's interviewing and understanding where they come from.

Why is it easier for America to accept lesbians than gay men?
tylertyler82 1 week ago
@tylertyler82 because lesbians are turn-ons for men, who supposedly rule the world. *roll eyes*
