@SeargentConrad That's a standard compaq computer from 5 years ago Roblox runs so much worse than it used to, even with a mid range gaming pc.

So very true, I saw on blog.roblox.com that Roblox said something like someday the physics engine will be to take up more computer resources like dual core and quad core CPUs. So Im guessing why roblox does not run as well is because it only utilizes one core. (At least the physics engine)

i can make some of this stuff(with out buttons) with out scripting and when you hit it it breaks without scripting

I really wish this game had nVidia PhysX support - I try and make fully deformable buildings and stuff and even on my e8400 and GTX 260 it gets about 2 fps.

@PkerWhomerang computer upgrade? Any high performance computer will show shadows and run roblox at 50+ FPS. The laptop i'm on runs roblox at around 28/9 FPS, the computer runs around 29/30. Not really a difference in digits, but when you see it with your eyes it seems a small bit faster :D

@coolcar100 You misunderstand; I can run the game normally just fine. With fully deformable buildings there is A LOT of physics to be processed. Multi-core processor support would speed up physics by a hell of a lot while adding nVidia PhysX support would allow the graphics card to do physics, freeing up the processor for more important stuff.

@PkerWhomerang ok, so that explains why the graphics card isn't much use then? Meh I'll learn more about how a computer works when I build a proper high performance gaming computer with my dad. I know what all the parts do and why they're needed, also the fact that building a computer is just like lego, but getting the compatible parts is the hard part. Anyway, I'm sure in a future update they'll allow that. Tell Builderman on roblox, if it's a way of making it faster he'll listen

@956137142 I bought it last month. It's a good game but they are very different. Different enough where you shouldn't even compare them and play them as what they are. And I don't think I ever said it was a bad game, just roblox has a better physics engine.

how can u compare 3d to 2d? 3d physics are hundreds upon hundreds times harder to program. even the simpliest of 3d physics is a massive feat as opposed to just downloading a commircial 2d engine.

Wow, you don't understand anything. Roblox is fun because It's fully open. You can do anything you want with the only limit to using bricks. You can script games, Create real working mechanic, and anything you can think of. BlockLand is an awesome game, but some prefer roblox over it. Its a choice, so get over yourself.
