If your fast enough you can type shutdown -a

But once its done its job, it'll have added to the registry startup key ,so when you start windows and log on, it'll just turn your computer back off.

You need to shutdown -a as fast as you can and then use regedit to remove the key.

Ther'es away to stop your pc from shutting down! While You've got 5 seconds to shut down goto to: start - run the type in 'Shutdown - a' (without the quotes) basicly the -a stands for abort - so your aborting the shutdown ;)

if your computer is slow though, you might not be able to get to run before it shuts down, anyway, change 5 to 1 and they shutdown in a single second

if ur trying to test if it works set the seconds to shutdown after 99 seconds instead of 5, this will give u time to abort the shutdown but still see if its working correctly.

The registry key is the one that contains start up values for EVERYONE on the PC, when you make the file add that key, that key contains the info to tell windows that when it starts up it needs to load that file on every user on the PC.
