The game is good, if improbable. Flintlock riflemen shooting down bombers? Pikemen spearing tanks into submission? C'mon! I can deal with a Ghandi who acts like a Napoleon ("I will leave you in peace in exchange for the secret of gunpowder") because that's alternate-reality fun, but when those flintlock Minutemen shot down my bomber I paused in my game playing to ponder whether the laws of physics should be subject to such fast and loose revision. Until my flintlock army offed modern artillery.

Seems a bit like Civilization 2, both in terms of graphics and the fact that the Senate can overturn your decisions. This isn't a bad thing, since Civ2 is one of the best games of all time.

this isnt spam armies and throw them at the enemy. you gotta plan the shit out of big wars. some cities have superb defence. so your better off taking the surrounding cities and culture converting it. or you can build lots of naval fleets and get fleet bonus to your damage and keep attacking with artillery and bombers.

Bullcrap. Just go into the changing government option, and, during the anarchy phase, fire your nuke or attack a city. Then you can go right back to democracy and continue getting your gold as production resumes. Sweet!
