  • OMG Hikari Utada I love her.

  • yay for japanese i-tunes account :D

    150yen :)

  • Ne-Yo & Utada, Hello <3

  • IMO Japanese sounds better than English.. although that may be because I don't understand JApanese :3

  • Ne-Yo feat. Utada Hikaru is real or remix ??

  • @Unkn0wnS0urc9 it's real

it was released in an exclusive Japan album in 2009 called "Ne-Yo: THe Collecton"

  • @CPhosavanh thankyou somuch :D

  • Woah...that's all I can say. I really love Utada Hikaru and I'm a bit of a Ne-Yo fan, but this makes me actually find a song he sings that I can name and say I like.

  • Ne-Yo and Utada?

Who knew it would be a perfect match!? :D

    <3

  • omg! where can i get this version? can anyone let me know please and thanks in advance

  • Awesome combo!

  • Utada Hikaru's pronunciation when singing in Japanese sounds as if a foreigner is singing.

  • @standofish because she was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.

  • They sound so good 2gether

  • nice combination of voices!

  • damn this is so good

  • This is my ist time hearing this duet. I'm partial to the Mary J duet but this is good too! Nice job on the clip!

  • wow this is amazing how in the world u ever made this im adding this to my mp4 man great work

  • This chick's got the voice!!! I like it!!

  • force us much? lol... :3

  • im not gonna talk down on hikki she writes basically all her own music and is a multimillionaire.

  • dude you killed it double thumbs up

  • and they need to take that echo off of her mike....

  • DAMN this shit is crazyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!

  • I wasn't really a fan of this song before, but now hearing Utada Hikaru on the track, I LOVE IT!

  • :) hey, is this an actual song or did you just like mix things up?

  • what you guys mistake for nervousness or an unsteady singing voice is probably just vobrato. If you listen to hikari or passion you can hear her using vobrato in those songs, though its hard to hear because they do have a fast tempo. but artists in american music dont use vobrato anymore which is why people second guess whether she sings well in english as well as she sings in japanese

  • its not on itunes.....im so sick of itunes not having everything dude im about to take this store DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • y'all i almost cried tears of joy this is so awesome

  • How do I get this song?

  • i love her but why does she sound like a robot so much on this?

  • musical orgasm *o*

  • the ending was great the rest was ok i guess she almost sound nervous but i love utada lol

  • I can totally relate to this song, 100%! My EX recently contacted me, but I am happily married to my husband and ready to have kids. However, I think about him from time to time...

  • @stargazerly20 HOT ASS MESS. lol

  • amazing. I love them...

  • AWESOME video @omgitsmara !!! I'm a SUPER Utada fan and this goes! sugoi~

  • Utada doesn't have to try at anything she's good either way...I will admit I like her Japanese better but her English songs are bomb too, her style doesnt work very much for American music because we aren't ready for someone great like her...and I think she did great on tv so it is what it is love her either way <3 To hear Utada on American stations would be heaven to my ears and me also being part Japanese and American I support her 110% English or Japanese doesnt matter her voice is amazing^_^

  • @hozukikaz that is very true, america is so used to hearin gsongs about sex ,drugs and partying, that when a real artist like hikaru appears, they cannot handle her style :<

but there are many that respect hikaru !

  • @Manzanapai Well Hikaru has songs about sex drugs n all that BUT her beats r so different from our "American" beats people either can't get into it or it's just too good for their ears I will admit her Amercan albums r just "ok" but you have to be into the Japanese scene to understand her beat...Her songs in English I think are too Japanese still for American taste...I think that's still her biggest downfall is that she's not edgey enough for American music I love her either way tho <3

  • Japanese over English. Sorry. It sounds like she is trying too hard in English to hit certain notes. I love Utada's work but this is just constructive criticism. It like the second time she tried to make a break in the US and did a live performance on national television and failed pretty hard.

  • when did come out .. ?? i dont remember hearing it before

  • this is awsome!!!!

  • gheheh they make a good couple xD

  • Yo is this song legit? Cause that sounded pretty hot!

  • Thanks for posting. I love this Collab!

  • IS THIS SONG LEGIT?!?!?

  • to anyone who loves her voice.....you should hear her acoustic version of simple and clean....she sounds so beautiful.

  • KINGDOM HEARTS!!!!!

  • THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!

  • For those people commenting saying she sings better in japanese... she was born in New York and actually speaks english more fluently than japanese.

  • @Mitsuki924356 that wouldn't change someones opinion of whether she sings better in Japanese....maybe they just like the way it sound

  • @CloudTheStrong I know it won't, I'm not trying to prove opinions wrong -.-

  • @Mitsuki924356 I see. It kind of sounded that way.

  • @Mitsuki924356 this isn't her market though.... sorry... at one point... where they're supposed to be doing harmonies he oversings her.... as if he's trying to make it sound better just with him alone, and he's not supposed to do that but...the fact that he even felt the need to do that...

  • @bun223 you do know this was recorded separately right? utada recorded her part at a different time....

  • @FreshNoobDancer So? Singers do it all the time. Are you really that naive to think singers physically sit in the same booth when recording songs together?

  • @FreshNoobDancer yeah a different time signature. jus keepin it real

  • @Mitsuki924356 To all those saying she sings better in Japanese, you all just got pwned by this guys fact. XD

  • @Mitsuki924356 New York <3 is awesome!!! shes awesomer. :D

  • @Mitsuki924356 WoW so... she is american ^.^ mmm... she sings very well is both languages xD

  • @Mitsuki924356 doesn't mean she sings better!

  • @Mitsuki924356 so shes American too thats some great facts thanx for sharing

  • @Mitsuki924356 Ah thankyou, you tell them. AMEN.

  • @Mitsuki924356 LOL born AND raised in new york <3 she only left to go to japan when she was a teenager xD She talks extremely good english. I love her <3

  • Their voices fit so well together! They should so do an album together, it would be amazing!

  • i think "i just wonder" wud be a much better title for this song...

  • OMG TWO OF MY FAVORITE ARTISTS ON ONE TRACK!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! God I love whoever made this... my ears are officially in heaven.

  • wow when did this happen0.0

  • @DarkChain10 it didnt they edit these song together

  • @DarkChain10 Around 2007, to be exact.

  • fucking AMAZING<3

  • Are they singing in front of a fan?

  • @FRANKALAN101 lol, it's called vibrato.

  • myra...you are a beast for that.

  • I read this somewhere! And Im going to quote because I think it's one of best things Ive ever read to describe the amazingness of her voice......

"...The pyrotechnic Vocals of Utada Hikaru" Her voice is amazing.

  • Why do people say that she's better in japanese? I mean it sounds just as good in english plus i can understand it. i will alway pick english over japanese when it comes to her.

    Love her for ever <3

  • I know i'm going to get hated on for saying this, but at 1:48 when she sings "I just wonder" is it just me or is she very out of tune..? Also her voice shakes a lot... sorry, I am an Utada fan too - i know all her songs - but sometimes her voice seems a bit off? x

  • @LegalVampire Hm... In my opinion she doesn't sound out of tune... But then again I love how she uses her voice... ^-^ When she sakes it... Goes high pitch and all that funky stuff... keke~ YOU'RE A HATER FOR SAYING ALL THAT ABOUT UTADA~!!! DIE DIE DIE~!!!... Lol... XD

  • I was a bit skeptical when I heard Ne-Yo ad Utada, but then I hear this and I'm like "Damn, this is pretty hot"

  • i saw somwhere that she covered boulevard of broken dreams

  • ^_______^

  • I'm not really a big fan of Ne-Yo, but the combination in this song is quite good! Of course I do really like Utada Hikaru!

  • never knew it was utada damn how could i wen i have this song on my playlist love ne-yo too

  • the only reason why i keep to watch this video cus it has in the title it has hikaru utada

    ^__^

  • Although Mary J. Blige's version was good, I think Utada Hikaru makes this song a lot better :D Wish she could collaborate with more American artists!

  • Her Voice is Wavyyy !!

  • Stupid Lyrics

  • WTF this is new... hahha i like it ^_^

  • LOL I was like "There is no way this can be good" but it turned out pretty nice, however Hikaru doesn't sound as good as she does in her own songs cause it's not really her style.. She still sounds really good.

  • I love this! Utada <33333333

  • did neyo sell his soul to the devil??

  • i clicked this, and this is totally whats going on right now :l

  • Utada gave Neyo no play,"like, we can't talk. i got a man." lol. She's so hot. :)

  • just found out this song. i like it! they are both my fav singers. :)

  • wtf? since when! Why have I never heard this! T_T Utada's voice is just so profound. Whenever she sings its like.... epic. I dont know how else to describe it... and neyo's a great songwriter. :)

  • this is a good video but i dont get how hikaru utada sings more english then japanese nd shes japanese im so confused

  • @swiperchey The Japanese learn english in school, mandatory, as well as Japanese.

  • @swiperchey She was born in manhattan, NY. She probably grew up with both languages.

  • @swiperchey She sings wayyyyyy more Japanese than English, for one thing. And Japanese children lean English almost as soon as they learn Japanese, both at school, and at home. And, she was born in America anyway, so she, like every other Japanese person, knew English at a young age, I'm sure.

  • I just have to say this ..... Every single asian person who speaks english very well has an amazing and cool voice!

  • nice work

  • wow..........

  • It has nothing to do with the fact that she's singing in english... the problem is that she's singing the "nowadays american pop music"... which suc**... Her "japanese music style" is A LOT better!

  • @he11i0s Don't associate this with crappy pop music please. Ne-Yo has soul, and so does she. This isn't Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Justin Beiber, Chris Brown, Miley Cyrus, or any other poppy act. granted, Ne-Yo has pop songs. But this is different, he's talking about something wit meaning and feeling, with a nice voice. He's talented too, something different than the other names I mentioned. It's fine not to like the music, but that doesn't mean it's bad.

  • huh? the vid description says it's fan made :S I'm confused I thought these where to seperate tracks mixed together

  • i almost shit bricks wen i saw Utada's name in the title O_O

  • I hate it when I see people comment about how they like Utada in Japanese more than English because she sings her heart out in both languages.

  • @fireballbaby12 .....maybe some people prefer Japanese over English or other way around?

I guess to your comment "I hate when every one assumes they think just like you"

  • @fireballbaby12 And I hate it when people don't use the common sense that maybe they just prefer hearing her in Japanese because it flows better than she usually does in English since she has more Japanese music.

  • this song isn't flattering to Utada at all :/

  • Eeeeep <3 Utada&KingdomHearts.....yep my lifes complete<3

  • Her voice is so damn good. How did she achieve that?

  • amazing...

  • Oh no way! That's amazing. Who's next, Ne-Yo? Ayumi Hamasaki?

  • i wonder if ne yo just jumped on a band wagon with this, i mean its good. but still

  • @nitendubsinc this was done to help with promoting himself in Japan

  • I think Utada is better singing in Japanese than English

  • @MizLady8706 its not a colab, its a real official song. but cant you tell by the lyrics? they are talking about the same meaning of the song. but nonetheless its an official song. not a collab

  • @YoungD33zyOnD3ck Uhm.... They worked together on the song. That makes it a collab. Like My Chemical Romance and The Used doing a cover of "Under Pressure" together is a collab. Collaborate is definied as two or more groups working on a single project to achieve the same goal. This song is the definition of a collab. I'm pretty sure you're thinking of a mash up and getting them WAYYY confused. -.-

  • UTADA!!!!!

  • :D

  • is this actually a song they did. or is it a compilation of two songs... either way briliant

  • @eternitiesblade It is a song they did. I think this version was only released in Japan, though.

  • @mermaidkween oh wow.... it sounds so lovely.... shes good

  • @eternitiesblade It's a song they did together, so mashing needed. :)

  • @ToxicAlice92 shes a very briliant woman, im nt a ne-yo fan buuut this song is good

  • @eternitiesblade Neither am I, I saw this and was like, "Noooooo.... WHAT?" Omg, I love it, lol

  • @ToxicAlice92 same

  • Like if you like Utada Hikaru's songs that aren't just from Kingdom Hearts

  • @amyxsonic but there still awesome

  • @yondaimegenesis Yes:D

  • @amyxsonic come back, apples and cinnamon, crying like a child <3

  • @ibadoisse yesss:) love all three of those!

  • @amyxsonic that's (Simple and Clean) actually my favorite song, but i know what you mean. She's just so talented and i can't contain my love for her somedays.

  • @amyxsonic actually its cause of kingdom hearts that i listen to utada hikaru in nihongo XD

  • @amyxsonic I didn't even know she had music in kingdom hearts O.o..

  • The Vibrato in Utada's voice is probably accounted to the fact that most of her songs are in Japanese and it's easier to hit high notes in Japanese then it is in English.

  • @Megidramon Along with the fact that she had to hold them out per word, and usually in Japanese you don't have to hold them out long because there's more syllables to take up breaths when singing.

  • You can really hear the Vibrato in her voice it's really noticeable but it works for her. But sometimes all that vibrato sounds like shes struggling hitting those notes. It's ok though she's and amazing singer nonetheless.

  • neyo is a fag.. good mix. but utada is to real for that guy.

  • you did a good job on this video cool

  • sweeet!

  • What? This happened? When .-.

  • umm. itunes.?? >

  • where can i download this? let me know plz

  • I was SO surprised when I first found out that Utada contributed to this song when I heard it on the radio once. I was just starting off listening to her Japanese music from Kingdom Hearts (Like apparently most of the viewers here have. XD) about four years ago, and I was just like.... "0_0 I HAVE to find that song again if Utada's in it!".

Since then, I've been hooked. ^-^

  • oo omg.. this is hot! lol :)

  • great work , love it :)

  • Utada Hikaru is what got me into Japanese music ever since Simple and Clean for Kingdom Hearts ^^

  • did they really colab on this or did someone just stick this together?

  • @niddasa This is a official version.

  • @niddasa they really did :)

  • Ne-Yo just got a extra awesome point.

  • OMG I LOOOVE THIS SONG I NEVER KNEW UTADA HIKARU WAS IN IT IT MAKE IT MORE AWSOME!!! KINGDOM HEARTS!!!

  • I swear this song reminds me of my lover whom i have no way to contact or see no more......

  • i love this song!

  • i cried

  • Wow Utada sounds great in this song. I don't think any other artist out there could have done this better. She is made for this kind of music!

  • Where was i when the collab

  • I see people here saying that Hikaru's voice doesnt fit the picture here... but i think she sounds great in this song :3

  • Comment removed

  • wonderful everyone wonderful

  • i don't like the way she sounds here. I mean the girl can sing but the way her voice...waviers like it does here kinda throws it off, ya know. Maybe it just doesn't fit with this song. Idk.

  • Wow.. I lived in japan for 8yrs and well lets just say her English has come along way.. They both sound great

  • @galvan11012006

She was born in New York......she has always known English....

  • @galvan11012006 She was born in America, sooo.....

  • lmao. what if this was the KH3 theme?

  • i don't really think the track does much for them. they sound good, however had the track they were singing to had been better i think the whole song would have improved lots. oh well.

  • whoa Utada how could you do that to Ne-yo? Jk

  • Didn't expect it to sound this good! Amazing. <3

  • Is this a real collaboration?

  • yea! i dont think ne you would go for her but she can sang!!!!!!

  • When I saw the title I saw Utada & Ne-Yo. The first thing that went through my mind was "dude, dude, DUDE, DUDE, DUDE" :D

  • @yukikid414 Yeah, me too.

  • @yukikid414 IKR =D

  • Maybe, and i'm sure, Utada Hikaru is one of best singer ever. Love her .

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS COLLAB <333333

  • thiss songg iss soo good ;) lol mewwahh :)
