i love this bear it is just sad that they are endangerd because pouchers want the gull blader, the're habitat is being cut down for housing and farming and some other stuff and randomly saying for some reason all my favorite anamals are endandgerd

do they encounter jaguars in the wild? do they attack people?

They do live with in the range of Jaguars so they probably on occasion bump into each other. They are known to be shy and docile in the wild and will most like ly not attack unless provoked.

Even though they are large enough to hurt or potentially kill people, there have been no known fatalities from this bear in South America. Hope that answered some of you're questions on this species.
