Well there are 2 type of these x-project's engines! Well somewhere near or off the Mexico borderlines but more in the space area of Arizona there where some reports last week maybe they're testing either the Ramjet /Scramjet engines. Remember the guy who built the military all Wing jet? It wasn't a stable design without a fly by wire computers assistance. But it turn out our nice gov rip off his developments and built a B-2 stealth Bomber from it! Livewire- :P
NASA is getting a little besides itself. They spend a lot of money too. Scramjet seems to be safer, obviously it's commercial project with taxpayer dollars.
