I like this performance since I bought this recording back in 1980. I must say that this is for sure the second best recording of this work, the best in my opinion is a Melodiya with Vladimr Feltzman under Kabalewsky himself.

This is BY FAR the best interpretation of this work that I have heard. I used to own this record "back in the day"; the currently available recordings of Kabalevsky's 2nd have better digital sound quality, but are inconsistent in performance, especially in tempo. I wish this recording was available on cd or didgital download.

When I think of the Kabelevsky concerto #2...I think of Ozan Marrsh! (It was his piece...and always will be!) Thanks for posting.
