I guess old school retro games had more of a good gameplay to them, the music was better thus giving the gameplay of the game sort of a i wanna keep playing vibe, even though you died plenty of times. Then u got your modern games which are a go shoot somebody online and piss em off couse they can't kill you games with no music, although you can download your own personal music into your system but the game it self does not have an original sound track like the old school retro kind.

It's funny. When I was growing older, playing more and more modern games, I was thinking "Damn! I'm getting really fucking good at videogames!" and then I went back to my sega genesis and NES games....And fuck. Ninja Gaiden for the NES is still hard as hell for me. Games these days just hold you by the hand and guide you through it. Oldschool games are hardcore. I like some newer games, but in general I agree with you. Retro games are where it's at.
