And it isn't true that a lack of corrections will create a power struggle between human and dog. It isn't true for dogs in general, and it isn't true because it's a rottie. Positive doesn't mean permissive. It doesn't mean you'll creat a a pushy dog. Why do you say one thing here and another on your website? R+ tells the dog WHICH behaviors you want. P+ doesn't, it just suppresses behavior, creating harmful and unnecessary stress. Yes I do use a little P-, but as little as possible. no P+.
I find it curious that you say you train R+. From your website:"Corrections are necessary in training and in every day living. If we do not correct the behaviours that are problematic, then, how will the dog ever learn which behaviours are acceptable and which are not. A lack of correction during training leads to a lot of confusion for your dog and, as the dog gets older, a power struggle for you." Actually P+ creates needless confusion. R+ doesn't. Why is there nothing about R+ on your site?
I agree Steve. Having witnessed first hand Paul train dogs that are so agressive they'd rather bite your hand off then let you feed them; I'd say there is a lot more to Paul's training then just sit, stay, come etc. Paul is an excellent trainer!!
Nothing new at all, Do you have one that is as good??? Mine is just a well trained dog and I wanted to let the general public be aware of what you can achieve is all!!!
If you are a "dog" person you will be aware of the thousands of dogs that get into trouble due to the fact they are untrained and it is the bigger breeds that get the blame due to peoples lack of knowledge. The smaller ones get away with it due to peoples ignorance.
good work, the garbage guy in the background is a little extra challenge for the dog.

On the back of the last message did you take a look at the other dogs?
I am guessing not, traning dogs is not all about corrections, reward sometimes work well too
