  • those fingers .... i dont wan't to have it :) haha

looks like he is busy to assembled toys :)

  • do all master grades have that joint in the fingers?

  • @ryan222cool yup :)

  • @ryan222cool Nope only newer ones from this 1 up roughly...

  • Awsome!

  • How long did it take you to do this kit with all the armor and without all the editing?

  • thats is weird the vid is 9mins 11 secs long or 9 11 lol i just noticed that and i wish i had gundam kits i am a gundam fan but who needs kits if they have a fully operable life size version of the one they want lol i do have currently 4 working ones:Shin Musha(my fave),wing zero(without the angel wings),strike freedom, and the RX-78 :) i love my gundams i keep them in a underground base so they wont rust and if your username is 2old4toys why does your banner say 2odd4toys lol

  • @unicron245 those are my fave gundams as wel :O

  • how many parts this have would you say?

  • The fingers are the same as the DOM-Master Grades! Cool!

  • the music scares me

  • wow this is awsome. so this is a 'master grade' kit? do all the master grade models have the posable fingers? cos i really wanna get the mg strike noir gundam is it similar to this?

  • no the inner frame is wayyy different but still amazing. the fingers are not this possible. you can check out my shit review if u want.

  • Most have posable hands, others (specifically, the Mobile Fighters like Shining Gundam) just come with a bunch of interchangeable hands.

  • it sucks compared to this beast.

  • This MG is almost the same as the PG version but PG is bigger

  • nice music

  • is the RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.2.0 has no Polycaps?

  • no it has polycaps

  • ok. tnx! ^_^

anyway, i watched one of the videos of 2Old4Toys which is the MG Gundam RX-78-2 v2.0 1/100 (unboxing) and i saw there are only few Polycap parts.

  • those are the small parts in the model kits that are soft like rubber and its color is gray (sometimes it is in different colors) and you will see "PC" on the side label of its frames.

  • It's been close to a year since I first saw this video, and it still facinates me. Love these "old-school" vids...

  • 2 old, i would like your opinion, is ver 2.0 the best for the time being for RX 78-2?

  • the only thing I wasn't happy about this model is that it didn't have opposable thumbs..now can anyone tell me why bandai would be so lazy in putting opposable thumbs on this beautiful gundam while they took the task of already including opposable fingers? The only reason I could think is cutting molding cost...which is pretty disappointing to the modelers expectations.

  • That isn't what opposable means. You just mean articulated. Yeah it is a bummer that they aren't but the model is top notch in other regards so I think I may purchase it.

  • thanks for correcting me. :)

yeah the model is still nice though.

  • Okay change of plan I may just try and get the Perfect Grade version for my Birthday

    xD

  • not exactly cutting the nubs safely

  • Actually if you look closely I am cutting away from myself. Safe as houses.

  • i like your type of music its makes me wonder about

    olden times

  • the Ver. 2 looks exactly like the one in the old anime. So I dont want to buy this. Im thinking of the OYW version.

  • how many worth is this gundam?!!

  • Strange music but I enjoy seeing it built. I don't know where to find there. Besides the internet does anyone know where to get one.

  • didnt know 1/100 figures had finger joints

  • did u cut out the fingers?

  • im sry if i say wrong thing about the music, its fine to me but to my mother she say is like a gang of ghost singing it but i like this music i think is from a choir

  • Very interesting.

  • what are those nippers called?

  • i like this gundam, it was my very first gundam, but i dont know, wish one should i buy?, winged zero custom or Gundam RX-78-2 v2.0?

  • good use with the opera.

  • Would you reccomend this toy to me? i like building things like legos and i've built to gundams, but i lost them.

  • Take a look at my other more recent building vids and reviews... if you find them interesting, you should try one.

  • i did, I decided i want a master class. Is there one you would reccomend?

  • This one here is an acquired taste, catering for die hard fans of the original Gundam look from the 70's and those who absolutely must have the ultimate in internal skeletons (I qualify for both...)

The MG Destiny and Force Impulse are modern looking from the inside out, and offer a nice build with excellent mobility.

If you like Lego Mechanics, you may still appreciate the Gundam in this vid...

  • Thanks champion... love ur work.

  • hey champ, one question models like MG strike freedom do they have stickers for the eyes? Or do u have to paint or use gundam markers? Do u nknow which colour gold or yellow? sorry im a super noob.

  • I am happy to introduce Germanic Opera music to the Gunpla community !

  • what are the inner frame made of? is it PC(POLYCAP) or something?

  • Oh my goooood!!!! the hydraulic cylinder are moving too at the shoulder... and i think the music are match with the video

  • holy shit when they meant "includes inner mechanics of a gundam", they really meant it.

  • Are the japanese instructions hard to follow? I was thinking of getting this exact same kit.

  • easy peasy...

  • fingers hav articulation 2!!! WOW!!!

  • is the engineering on this gundam better than the Zeta Ver. 2? or on par?

  • Dude your videos are a life saver to me, I'm modeling mobile suits in 3d and the joints articulation give me a hard time, but thanx to vids posted like yours, they have saved me the time of trying to figure this out on my own. Thank you, and what's the name of the song, its very Gundam-esq

  • im sorry but wuts up with the weird music dude?

  • the figers on this kit scare me a bit cos when the fingers are straight, it look double jointed.....

  • agreed... freakish fingers

  • hey dude, how old r u really? and how many hydraulic that this kit have?

  • do you STILL use those clippers...they seem so much better than any of the basic kinds

  • 00:08 Well spotted! These are my trusty copper wire cutters. The blades are indeed angled much more than the usual, run-of-the-mill nippers. That's why I like them. The angle makes them comfortable to hold while providing an unobstructed view of what I am cutting at the blades. What's more, they can better reach otherwise hard to reach parts on the sprue. If I recall correctly, they came from an electrical supplies store and cost me about 5 of your US Dollars...

    My personal weapon of choice

  • how much id this cost you dude?

  • the background music is annoying, but an absolutely awesome kit you got there:)

  • you can always turn down your speakers...

  • Wow, the music and construction were excellent.

  • I loved them both too!

  • i bought this model but haven finish building it.

i broke the chest armor into half when taking it out lol

  • Oh dear... can you fix it with some super glue?

  • well actually, i plan not to fix it with super glue after some time as it was easier to take off the armor

  • You make it seem easy to build. Thanks for the upload.

  • I got the v1.5 is it any good I know its not as good as v2

  • I have the v1.5. It was released in the year 2000. It still has nice legs even by todays standards. Thats about it really.

  • Is it any difficult to build Ive only builded basic grades like 1/144

  • Its not hard at all if you have 1/144 experience. Just take your time to make sure you have the parts the right way up. The instructions are graphically very clear. I cant read Japanese, but had no problem looking at the pictures.

  • oo the detail on the gundam looks like pg but this is small and i really want this to be my first rx-78-2 in the whole gundam collcetion

  • do the fiingers go in a certain order?

  • yep...

  • and i onli like the rhyme but not the song

  • btw,2old4toy,did u hav friendster acc? pls reply mi

  • I'm not on friendster

  • this is master grade??

i can't even imagine building a perfect grade.

  • It's actually pretty fun building a PG.

  • did you cut the fingers so they could move individually

  • yes for one hand, and kept the other one joined so that I can show the difference in the next vid.

  • You are killing me softly with this toy. Mine is coming this month. I heard they will release G-Armor next year. Meanwhile you are so so lucky to have this. Praise Bandai for this awesome RX-78-2. Cannot wait to see the review from you. Thanks

  • the G Armor has always looked a bit daft in my opinion. Nope, I'm not feeling any love for a MG G Armor. Nor that silly Perfect Gundam thing. But I'm quite selective in what I part my money for...

  • Would this vid have been better if I spoke all over it? I'm sure it's fine as it is (let the images tell it all like my early vids. That was the point...), but let me know what you guys and gals think.

  • vid's fine as is.

  • I would be drooling if I had one of these.

    I envy you.

Just got a fix figuration of Gundam Gerbera, my favorite gundam ever. Wish it had to be assembled though, and had better articulation.

How far are you from completion? I wanna see how far the legs can bend! :D

Are you going to paint it? can I see it before you do?

How many of what weapons it comes with? Does the shield go on its back?

Lawl, the gundam's caption at the very end.

Music very fitting cause this is a beautiful masterpiece!

  • this is why i want NEWer MG kits but they cost so damn much!! buut well worth the time i guess?

  • I'll be doing a video to compare the very 1st MG to this the very latest one. (Yes I bought and built that 1st ever MG waaaaaay back in 1995!) That's a span of over a decade's advancement in Gunpla engineering. This ver2.0 this is the pinnacle achievement in MG kit quality by which all subsequent MG's will be compared.

(spoiler alert! by today's standards, the 1st MG is a pile of old under-pants)

  • will you review on the articulations too?

  • Naturally!

  • How can you tell from the box that the pieces are not painted?

  • The vast majority of Gundam kits do not come pre-painted. Bandai do their best to use the right coloured plastics.

  • Great stuff man keep it up!!!!

  • CREATING LIFE

Man, I really want to make some Gundams now. Too bad I can't buy any kind of anime model in my country :(

  • i love your vid....thats why your gunna give me one of your models someday right ???

  • Ebay my friend.

  • wow its like a 1/100 perfect grade i am definetly gonna get one of these

  • Yeah! Love the music! 5/5

  • nice i might get the mg rx 78 ver 1 or 2 i forgot in ka version
