Hard to find the right music to fit a poem, I found this got in the way of listening to the words a bit. The video ended up dominated by the beat. Partly it's in the balance of volume perhaps, but what do I know?! Good video for all that though. Cheers from over here!
thank you, and yes it is very hard to find a music to match a poem rather than to write a poem to match music however i am a writer first and a dj as a far secound, and i agree, and beleive that the volume is something i am going to have to play around with, along with my voice in order to properly mesh the two in the future, thank you for validating this, and never ever ever feel you can not give contructive critisim, i apprechate it more than compliments, because it betters me and my work.
Thanks for that, I always think it's best to say what you mean! I've tried a couple of times to put poetry to music for YouTube videos, for me dub reggae seemed to work. Some of my favourite music anyway, there was the bonus of discovering a 'new' band, who have made their music available on a Creative Commons Licence. A further bonus was being able to send them the result, and get their reaction to what I had done... fortunately they liked it! Cheers for now, Mark.
St Andrius - I found their music on the archive. org website - it turns out they have a YouTube channel too, there is a link to that on my dub/poetry videos.
I think it is great. But you're delivery has has such a rhythm anyway that I think it is fine either way... I'd actually like to hear they way you would do this without music too... but I am a 1Aware1 shameless fan... I can't get enough of your work! :P 5stars and faved
thank you, i take your opnion to be very inportant. and it would sound the same with no music just without the huge pause in the middle, i would so be willing to make a priv vid for you and anyone who would want to see it such ways, i am greatful to have anyone that intrested, in my writing, that is why i honestly love youtube.
