this is a funny story when i was little 5 or 6 perfect dark was a big thing. my brother was really good. The missions scared me so i just played the arcade and the only weapon i got a gold star in on the shooting thing in that game was the laptop gun and the sniper the rest bronse and a few silver. once i accidently went on my brothers account and went to the shooting range he had all gold stars except for the sniper mission i did it for him right in front of him. Since then we were a team lol:)

@thearkangel579 Probably due to the controller. I loved the original game on the N64 to death, but the 64 controller didn't really lend itself to precise control
This level is a pain to beat, especiall the first part since Joanna loves crouching when you knife the skedar since crouching is bound to the left joystick press.
yep, it's easy if you manage to kill the first skedar without being noticed. then it'll die with only one hit. and then kill the next one with mauler.
@pdxbla I managed to beat the level, I had nearly 75% health on the lift, then by the end of the level I was in the red. Luckily, once you DO get to the bridge the level is easy. Just take out the skedar guys inside, then once Elvis pops in camp the entrance with dual maulers. If any Skedar walk in just shoot them dead, they just go for Elvis for some reason so it's super easy.
@pdxbla You should see my knife video heh, After many tries it took me there, at first i got murdered before I got to the first skedar. Elvis wanted some of my charged mauler a few times but he couldn't handle it. I had alot of success alerting the skedar then running behind a door since they most usually always open it from the center.

@pdxbla Wait a second, pdxbla. When you fired the Slayer from 5:45 to 5:53, you glitched out of the ship somehow. Does that glitch exist in the original Perfect Dark for the N64? I'm having a difficult time completing this level on Perfect Agent mode(and yes, I've completed all of the other levels on Perfect Agent, no lie). I'd think what you did when you grabbed the Slayer in this level is hellish crazy, pdxbla. 5/5, =)
yes i think the glitch was on the original perfect dark also. yeah i remember playing this on perfect agent for the first time...it definitely was the hardest of the normal missions! i had more trouble with maian sos (special mission) though 'cause your health is so low on that one. but later even this level started to feel easy on perfect agent.. i think i recorded this too early. i could have done all the levels much better.
This is very difficult, I think I can do it, but compared to the rest of the game, this is a difficulty harder. I just have this level and the last one to complete for Perfect Agent difficulty, I've done everything else other then a couple awards and speed runs. The problem I find is that my aim is perfect on the skedar, but the hit boxes are in odd positions so I don't actually get a hit. Really pisses me off.
if you haven't tried maian sos on perfect agent yet... you'll be surprised! and not in the good way. it's really hard 'cause you have very little health from the beginning. after getting used to this it's easy to hit the skedars. after i did my perfect dark difficulty 202% walkthrough i can pretty much run this level on perfect agent.. it literally feels easy now.
Yeah, it took me 3 hours worth of retrying to do this, but this guide helped. I found that this level, without auto aim (for the crown) was the hardest thing for me, i did it pretty fast when i had auto aim turned back on which helped for the crown for killing the captain, and the speed runs. I still feel like the hitboxes are stupid for the skedar, but something I have to live with. Thanks a lot for the guides, really appreciated the help you gave me with these and would recommend them

Good God, this level makes Halo Legendary look like a walk in the park. Limited ammo at the start, and those alien bastards can practically kill you with just their bare claws.
Once again though, it's a shame this is the only time you get the Knife. I would have loved to use it against human enemies.

I learned from this game that there is no such word as impossible. i tried and tried because i wanted the War level. i was sick of playing Skedar ruins because i knew where they all hid. you gotta have a 'want it' thing pushing you to win, otherwise it's too hard. another thing, i did not do the PA levels in order, i'm not sure if this has an effect but it sure made Pelagic 2 a living hell XD! I can't beat this stage at all. Being that is the hardest stage I have ever played, I thought this would be the last level but no. Its such a bitch how the aliens do so much damage with a weak kick or punch and they don't stand still while trying to shoot at them. I've been playing this stage for 2 hours straight and seriously, for me, its just fucking impossible.
First time I played Maian SOS on perfect agent it took me 7 hours. I was so sure I would never beat it... Then I finally beat it!
But now after changing some of my tactics I beat it about 1/3 of tries.
You'll beat this one if you have enough patience. This is very frustrating I know. To get one award I had to beat this and all the other missions with no auto-aim... This level took about 20-30 tries.
@Y0mAMa5957 I did it in 12 minuets. I'll put a walkthrough on my site when I replay the level on n64. Try standing at the side of the wall, sorta like hide n seek. close doors if they shoot you a lot. I just stand and hide by the walls, you know what I mean, right? okay, i'll go into detail. for an example, the part when you gt in the elevator (with the two skedar in the other room) use the mauler charged shots and stand next to the wall by the door (with the two skedar). open and shoot.

@pdxbla If you dodge a skedar uppercut then they will be frozen for 3-4 seconds which is enough time to give them a slash to the tail thing.

yep, they're not that hard as long you're fighting only one skedar at a time. but if they hit you... you die instantly.

When I completed it i never used Slayer for the engine room. i never thought of it. i just played hide n seek with the aliens.

I can't beat this stage at all. Being that is the hardest stage I have ever played, I thought this would be the last level but no.
