  • Guys, don't argue so much! Can't you just enjoy the video of a beautifulyy restored tank?

  • Beautiful tank. There is a tank museum in Danville Virginia that has a Panther, a Sherman M4 and a T34. (Well worth the visit if you are in the area)

  • you buncha ignorant dumb-fucks

  • *crying* i want that tank !

  • hitler always wanted evrything perfect

one of the 10 reasons he lost the war

  • 1. wanted everything perfect

    2. was actually a pretty bad strategist

    3. had no understanding of logistics

    4. believed in the myth of war changing super weapons

    5. couldn't restrain himself

    6. thought he could actually win after 1942

    7. had several diseases

    8. was a dope fiend

    9. he was stupid

    10. he was fucking nuts

  • Simplified and stupid. You arent anglo saxon coincidentially?

    nvm.

  • It'll be a cold day in hell when I let myself be lectured on stupidity and simple-mindedness by an anti-semite. Die slow.

  • Anglo saxon- definitely ^^

  • 11.a bonified idiot

12.caused the needless death of thousands of men for no other reason than he would'nt listen to his generals and sacrificed and threw away a beutifully trained army.poor basterds.

13.did i mention he was an idiot,ah.worth mentioning again!

  • @Graphic36 Would not have been myth if he had introduced those super-weapons onto the field earlier in the game. Infra-Red and the ME-262 were the two most amazing advances in weaponry the Germans ever fielded. Can you imagine entire divisions of Panzers seeing in the dark around Stalingrad circa 1942, when the Russians could not? It would have been a slaughter. Even late in 44' when Panthers were first IR equipped, a handfull of them decimated an entire platoon of British Comets near Uelzen.

  • It doesn't matter if he introduced them earlier. The allies would just eventually capture one, copy it, and then mass produce it at a pace Germany could never hope to achieve, that is if they were practical enough. All conventional warfare boils down to economics. The Sherman and the T-34 were the best tanks of the war in all practicality simply because they could be mass produced on a staggering scale. When the U.S. joined the war, Churchill then knew the allies could not lose.

  • Incorrect. Outside the gates of Moscow, weapons such as IR and jet-powered fighters would have made EVERY difference. If Germany had taken Russia out of the picture in 1941, then how long do you honestly think the UK would have been able to hold out? The Germans had functioning IR devices as early as 35, for example. If Hitler had taken such technology seriously, things could have been much different. And i'd be willing to bet that the USA would have kept largely quiet until later in the 40's.

  • @PanzerAngriff I usually say that the Soviets won the war and the western front was a mere sideshow and in the end the Soviets would have invaded even Japan if not for the surrender,, but lets say Germany had won on the Eastern front, how long would it be before the US turned to nuke the shit out of Germany?

Don't matter how i twist and turn it i can only see one and the same ending,, mushroom clouds over Europe.

  • @pocketsurfer001 It would have been also likely that Germany would have had the bomb before the USA if everything from my previous post had come to fruition, so, mushroom clouds over New-York would have been the more proper outcome.

  • @pocketsurfer001 The Germans had been working on nuclear technology as well. If they had defeated the Russians the Germans would have crushed anyone taking them on.

  • @SultanTSK

    yes.

    quantity(t34) overruled quality(tiger,panther)

  • @SultanTSK another reason: Allies would dress up and get ready for 5mins while the Germans would need 45mins to just dress up ;)

  • thats music to my hears, better than any song out there!

  • But the sound just rocks!!!

  • fuucking bad paint guys ew

  • From what I can tell, colors are pretty close to a mid war Panther. Eastern front scheme.

  • Well that color green is 100% incorrect, to dark.

  • Not really, Germans switched color schemes all the time, this is pretty accurate.

  • On a poor quality video, I mean not made on real professional equipment, you can't appraise the real colors. This is the Panther Ausführung G from the museum of Saumur, in France, I was one time there and I've seen this Panther, the colors are perfect, they are those used on the Western front, after the D-day. In addition, this museum own the only one Königstiger in perfect working order in the world, I've seen it too, WWoouuahh! 69 tons of steel who run at a few meters, GREAT!

  • Sorry, I've done an error, it's an Ausf. A . I left a comment on another video before, in German, and it was about an Ausf. G . The most clearly visible difference is the view trappdoor for the driver, there was not any more because it had been abandoned on the on the Ausf. G .

  • The panther designations always confuse me. I was going to correct you because I don't remember the A having a ball-mount hull machine gun, but then I remember it was the Ausf. D that was the first panther version, not the Ausf. A.

    Grr.

  • didn't the crews apply the camo in the field? thats what i read anyway

  • no they took it to xibit and the pimp my ride crew for a total bling over before heading to kursk the turret is fully decked out with plasmas and a popcorn machine

  • funny

  • The painting sucks...

  • nope..thats the earlyproduction painting for Zitadelle in 1943

  • That version "D" has never been at "Zitadelle" and so the painting sucks twice...

  • you confuse the versions

Ausführung D was the initial one, after it came Ausf. A, followed by Ausf. G which in its later version incorporated some improvemnts intended for the Ausf. F and Panther II

  • Is this the saumer panther or the Munster panther?

  • Saumur's Panther, it's an Ausfürhung A, the Münster Panther is an Ausf. G.

  • cool sure !!! i;m not here to defend soviet atrocities , but by any measurement the Nazis were worse ... unlike germany it was never sate policy of the soviets to rape or murder any one. the germans formed special military units to do just that (zonder commando).

and germany preemptively invaded the soviet union. so shocked was satin he at first ordered his soldiers not to fire back,

  • stalin was responsible for more non military deaths than hitler and if stalin was show shocked by the german invasion why did have 6 russian armies massed in southern russia preparing to attack

  • your going to tell me the most paranoid leader in history was shocked that the 4 million german soldiers on his boarder attacked. I know what history says about stalin being taken by surprised but common. this guy had people killed because they looked at him wrong you really think he was oblivious to 4 million german solders on his boarders! that part of history is nothing more than communist propaganda that got put into the history books because they were allied to the US

  • in germany you would get problems by saying this. but you are from a state where freedom of speach matters.

  • Soviet generals were in fear of Stalin. No-one in upper echelons really knew what the official mission the red army was to be used for, so they positioned the army for both offensive and defensive postures along the soviet frontiers. In the end of course it proved not serve either role succesfully.

  • well felix, yes, they didnt win the war, the germans were out manufactured, case closed, if it was the same amount of tanks , squaring off, the russians would have been eliminated. And, the Russians werent angels either by raping 12 yr old girls in germany. Both sides were evil.

  • Hitler wanted too expensive stuff, so they couldn't manufacture much but instead they got quality, everyone else went for quantity.

  • that's a simplistic statement. germany manufacturing was under constant bombardment from US and British planes. the russians were able to manufacture in peace after they had moved the factories east.

  • A question I have often wondered about tanks.............how many gallons of petrol to fill her up?

  • better looking than ths t34,plus better qaulity.a tank for poseurs

  • i agree with you

  • oh sure panthers win beauty contest just a pity they don't win wars !!!!

but you have to admire the work gone into getting one of those things back to life..

but lets not forget the sick regime that machnicalised the killing of human beings in the same way as the manufacture of these machines

  • Thanks for posting! Judging by this view, I think numbers on the turret of this color and outline would be really hard to see from a distance for a commanding officer from another machine in combat. Maybe it should be done in lighter colour like white or yellow as most of allied tanks had.

  • Trigahappymore, they just restored it to that color, it probably wasnt found that way.

  • i can't believe how noisy this thing is now. was it the same in it's day? If so, you could hear it miles away and avoid it if you needed to.

  • Yes ! The AMX30 of my regiment made such noise too.

The late german tanks had no rubber on their tracks, this making the "cloc cloc" you can hear while running on roads.

  • How many american/ russian tanks did this smoke.

  • now imo this was the best ww2 tank, slopeing armor and a high velocity 75mm

  • king tiger is better also near end of war germans had a tank that was the size of a few king tigers but was too heavy and didnt make it into service

  • i think your talking about the E-100 Maus

  • e100 and maus were different tanks, maus was really heavy, more than 80 tons and one almost complete. noone knows or that one had gotten into a fight or not. +because of its big shape it would have been picked out as a target by enemy planes.

    Cool thing though...

  • Prrrettyyy..

  • sexy , very sexy.

  • OHHHH the normal (just "Tiger" was the best tank ever) in this time this damn maschine almost had no other tanks as enemies it had so a big ammor and so a hard shot

  • Is this a King Tiger?

  • no thats a panter

  • Great video.

I have a short question for the experts here.

This Panther shows the tactical designation 211, this means 2nd company, 1st platoon, vehicle No 1.

But what does e.g. the tactical designation 204 mean, I saw it on a Waffen-SS Königstiger.

Sometimes designations like S04 are also to be found, S means schwer (heavy).

  • The panther is my all time favourite tank. She looked right She sounds right and she worked right even the name panther was the right name for a big Cat.

  • One a only a few tanks the germans got it right, mobility, armour and firepower! The tiger and king tiger were in the end just too much of a liabilty, mobilty was the future and they were too slow and heavy.

  • Yep this is Samur the other only working panther in Europe is at Munster.

  • nein,da gibts noch einen in koblenz

  • Last time I was at Koblenz the panther was moved to munster in late 2004, is it back?

  • Not long now for the Littlefield and wheatcroft Panthers to make their debuts.

  • This one didn't had to be restored (much). It's from the French Army roster ... just well stored, with lost of spares. Saumur museum

  • i think that panthers and jagdpanthers are the best looking german tanks

  • badass. great vid.

  • The german panther was superb in many ways but it had its flaws, the main gun is just for show and its mostly made out of cardboard and glue.

  • You're joking.

Panther's 75L70 was just as effective against armour as Tiger E's 88L56; slightly smaller caliber but higher muzzle velocity and flatter trajectory. 75L70 can be compared to the most powerfull British WW2 tank gun: The 17pdr (76,2mm). Both guns are having almost identical performance.

Panther's frontal protection was superb due the well sloped and thick glacis compared to any Allied tank. Sides however were just as vulnerable as in Shermans or British cavalry tanks like Cromwell.

  • its gun destroyed shermans, the allies thought they were heavy tanks when they first engaged them

  • I feel sorry for the enemy who had to face that :)

  • Wow that motor sounds like a plane engine

  • Thats cz basically it is...like the British Meteor tank engine was a Merlin without the supercharger.

  • brillant scary sounds from the tank as it moves..
