It is sad how the staff behaved, patients need compassion and mercy. It has to be so frustrating to have our most important organ fail to work properly, they are suffering and these doctors are laughing and making fun of them. If they did this while being filmed I wonder how they act when they are not in front of the cameras. At least the patients have an excuse for their behavior.
I don't like that one woman's smugness :/ yeah i know the levity helps them deal with everything that goes on from day to day, but seriously. probably showing off for the cameras idk. she should be a little more understanding
@GodWeepsToo God made us with knowledge that "we" would make the mistakes. He set up the entire criteria for what is considered a "mistake". We are responsible but he is Ultimately responsible.
Who's more crazy... those who want to leave places like that... or those that think people like that will get better through drugging them upto their eyeballs.
@scottybottybanana The vast majority of the 'drugs' you're talking about are not narcotics.
If you understood the actual meds most patients receive, you'd not be using language like "up to their eyeballs".
Sure, some places still use chemical restraint too much - Texas is a classic example due a backward society. But even there: the majority is not about drugging them: it's about ensuring neurons fire correctly, amongst numerous other tasks that modern medicines achieve.
@cinesimonj Thats true however I'm not sure I agree with you labeling Texas as a backward society for using chemical restraints. Judging by your response, I'm guessing you have knowledge in the fact treating one in psychiatric distress is very complex since traditionaly hospital staff in that setting can't see what's causing the problem like say if one goes to the ER for a broken bone. Chemical restraints are very effective in stablization to the point where issues can be dissected.
@cinesimonj Another problem is that many patients can become violent or suicidal, this affects the safety of everyone around them and themselves. Chemical restraints can prevent violence and tragedy to a certain extent, which is mainly why they are used.
Chemical restraints are probably abused, though I agree you can't single out an entire state and the society in that state for the reason why the abuse happens. Most people react with some level of fear towards mental patients, not just Texans.
Poor people,I hope theyre getting the help they need.
Dan is so good looking, what a pity.

Dan has nice eyes, but his voice reminds me of Kevin Bacon in "Murder in the First."

for a perfect god he sure makes a lot of mistakes... or is this part of his perfection?
somehow we continue to give him a pass, we continue to make excuses for him... are we being fooled or are we fooling ourselves?
I'd say we made him up to begin with...and now we have to deal with the cognitive dissonance...

@beenn15 spend a day in the shoes of those you are judging as mistakes and get back to me......

@GodWeepsToo so, let me get this straight. The entity who supposedly "created" them didn't screw up, it is their fault that they're suffering.
wow.
You see, you know you're not making any sense but somehow, you feel like you have to defend the "loving" creator.
