  • Plenty of songs use the same chords. The only part of the song that sounds similar to Granger Danger is the first few seconds before the verse. There are also plenty of songs that have those first few chords... it's one of the most popular progressions. You've probably heard it a million times and just didn't realize it. LOL.

  • What if Darren Criss and Missy Higgins somehow came up with the same chords anyway, and didn't steal off each other at all -.-

  • this song is ace i have it on a hoodie to prove so :) plus I decided to sing this in my gig because the lyrics mean so much to me so thankyou to Missy for being so true and pure to herself and sharing her wonderful gift with the world :)

  • Just went and looked up 'Granger Danger'..... total pile of pish.

  • ........

  • I PUT 4 FINGERS ON THE FRETBOARD AND STRUMMED. IT SOUNDED GOOD BUT SOMEBODY SAID IT WAS AN "A" CHORD AND I STOLE IT.... QUIT YOUR WINING, THIS GIRL IS GOOD.

  • ....mmm this sounds pretty scary much like granger danger... DARREN YOU THIEF!

  • I've tried my best G whiz!

  • i uhm, im a guy that listens to german rap, german hip hop, atzen music and i come to this and i really like this. this is relaxing rather to a hard beat or heavy bass you just have the crystals of a guitar

  • I truly love this song, but I've always wondered what's the message behind the video; and this may seem a very naive question, but, is she working as a crash test dummy? or she trying to learn to 'steer' as the name of the song, but only achieves it properly by the end of the video? Just a silly doubt

  • @charlesbua

My take on the video is that yes, she works as a "crash test dummy". In the end she breaks her normal, everyday routine and takes control of her life - the metephor for the song.

  • no dislike =)

  • love the song! the video.. could have been better.

  • LMAO the FIRST thing i thought of was granger danger, and EVERYBODY else is already posting about it. pretty funny.

  • i heard this in the movie tomorrow when the war began!

  • I think people were more commenting on how similar they are, not placing blame on either side. They are very different songs, and chord progressions are bound to be similar considering the millions of songs that exist in the world.

  • 0 dislikes :D

  • i really like this song...

  • in love

  • Australia is definitely NOT lacking in musical talent.

  • @airdriver haha, no, u.s. is though...that why i am glad australia and canada and all the countries with the real talent that tour come our way.

  • 1:22 i hope this is not a reference to twilight. oh god. lol

  • @iloveseattle123 how? what's the innocnc of childhood got to do with twilight?

not tryin to have a go, i just don't understand

  • @Ouchmyback "lonely like a new-born" like a newborn vampire. lol

  • not to mention the vid description says 2007 WMG Steer (Video)

  • "Steer" is the first single from Missy Higgins' second album On a Clear Night. The song was released in Australia on 14 April 2007" - wikipedia

"The A Very Potter Musical soundtrack is the 2009 soundtrack of the Harry Potter parody musical" -wikipedia ...... seriously?!, they copied missy

  • Granger Danger!!! :D

  • my momma's gaurd used this as a wintergaurd show!

  • 'granger danger' came out AFTER 'steer' did. so to all the people typing about how steer stole the chords, you are only making yourself look even more ignorant. thumb it up so the baboons read this.

  • I hope that the people saying that it's 'Granger Danger' aren't implying that Missy Higgins is copying that song. This song came out two years ago, and 'A Very Potter Musical' came out in 2009. So, if there was any copying being done, then it was Granger Danger. So you should go post on Granger Danger and say 'Oh my God, it's Missy Higgins' rather than the opposite.

  • For a second I was very confused why she was driving on the left side of the road. ha =P

  • Those are totally the chords for Granger Danger. xP

  • @RantoraLuv I thought the exact same thing

  • the guitar intro sounds almost exactly like "granger danger"

  • @demonbarber17 I was just thinking the exact same thing

  • it's not literal. it's symbolism.

  • I like the song, but the video is stupid. It isn't even allowed to use people for those tests there are dummy's for that.

  • @StephanAltena - If you can't figure out what the video is trying to say, then obviously your life is much easier than everyone else's, as you have never been in a situation where you felt completely out of control of your circumstances. :)

  • @StephanAltena Think poetically. My interpretation is that it's saying that maybe you lack confidence in yourself, in life, so you feel like you're just a dummy being taken on life's test run. And then suddenly you realize you're not a dummy, actually you can steer, so you stop living as life's puppet... I mean, playing puppeteers for kings, whatever... so you get out and go on your own test run, and you start testing life back, etc. etc.

  • What great range Missy has. She can sing happy songs like this just as well as she can sing emotional songs like "Where I Stood".

  • I LOVE this song! I couldn't stop listening when i heard it for the first time!

  • ...I just love Missy, but her driving on the left makes me nervous...
