I'm interested in Elizabeth Zimmermann's Norweigan Sweater from Knitting Without Tears. She suggests a machine stitch around the baste to anchor the steek. Would the single crochet anchor stitch work? Thanks! (I'm cookknitpaint on ravelry).

This is very great!! Very informational and a great idea!! Thank you!! One question.. When you sew the zipper in, and you have basted back your crocheted steek, Are you going to hand baste in zipper, or use a sewing machine? Thank you, this is very educating.
