I remember my dad taught me to do a dove call and I'd stand in the back yard calling the doves all the time :D they would always coo back. Aha, I was a hippie child.
I always thought this was an owl I was hearing in the morning, but yesterday morning I looked up and saw doves on the power lines, and I thought, hmm it could be those doves, sure enough I looked this video up, the exact same call.
@IndigoCat17 ME TOO!!!! my mom and i kept thinking that there was an owl in the trees and i kept hearing it early in the morning..... haha i just found out today because i just heard it and then i looked out the window and i see 3 of them!!!!!
I remember hearing doves often as a child, and would often imitate them.
Not only were they not fooled, I think I annoyed most of the females.

I got bored and echoed them once from my room. One kept flying by the window trying to figure me out. They have such a beautiful song.

My whole life I thought that sound was an owl that forgot to go to sleep when the sun came up lol but I'm so glad that I found out that it was a bird

We have those in our backyard, I wouldn't have expected that sound to come out of these birds, they are beautiful though.
