You generally get a sound like that when you're pushing so much air out of such a small diaphragm...followed by a little flutter because the valve shuts so quickly while air is still trying to rush out.
Make sure you do some serious porting on the exhaust side. I brought down my spool by 1500rpm by getting exhaust flow right with a similar sized turbo to the GT42R
Is there any benefits of putting a 1J head on a 2J block????? I'm just wondering cause im wanting to do one in the future for my MK3.

The Blitz DD bov is adjustable so you can
stiffen or lighten the spring on the diaphragm.
I run a 2jz single on my mk3 also..but with a 72mm turbo.

I have no need for porting my exhaust side. I appreciate the opinions, though.
My setup is quite different that yours likely is. 4200 stall, built 4spd, 75 shot down low & methanol will have great results.
Because once I'm off the line, I have absolutely no concern for "lag" until I decide to back out of it. ;-)
