@animal100000 It was the whole stack of 150 lb.........I could do more as my triceps and traps are my very strong body parts.....we all have certain body parts that are naturally stronger than others
im an old git myself, and if you want to continue training for years, and years you must use slow correct form.If you slam and pull weights about, you will hammer your joints too much. All good bodybuilders use good form.
@totalhealth4life Hey Rico I'm not sure if you could answer this but last year i noticed i was alot bigger and this year i shrunk and yet im still hitting the gym and lifting heavyer weights
@xxzipitxx Of course I can't because I don't have ANY info on what your regimen is and if its changed.......way too many variables to give an uneducated guess bro!
@totalhealth4life Yeah i change my work out plan monthly and i cant tell if thats messing it up and im a hargainer so im looking to gain lots of mass But What number of sets of reps would i want to do as a hardgainer lookin to gain lots of mass and Should i do super sets or is that no good for me? thanks Rico!
@22complexity No I have been getting alot stronger but I honestly still think Last year I had best results Like my arms shrunk a little and My abbs Are more shitty now and I lost like all my side weight around my abbs so ididnt look so skinny but Now i look skinny cuz I Lost all the weight on my sides and my abbs look smaller to. Idk its screwd up
@22complexity Uhm i have been Eating More Specific foods now So ive gained Some muscle back But I still Notice Like My body Shrunk but its coming back slowly Iunno maybe Because i stoped Eating as much that could be it
@xxzipitxx well this always happens, with everyone, when you first start off working out you gain alot of muscle, around 10-15 pounds of muscle in the first year, but after that your muscle gains are slown down, you start to gain like 5 pounds of muscle a year no matter how hard you try.
anyway...why mr. connor is always using that stupid little hat?...take it off man you really look goofy...or are your trying to hide your hair loss?... :-)

hey many good advice i like the machines you were doing at the beginning. my gym surprisingly doesnt have the first 2 machines there that you did but I do alot off wide and inner dips for my chest as well I like the reverse grip pull down u did im gonna try that and thanks for the advice.
when arnold say no pain no gain he didnt mean by that get pain on your joint or ligament....no pain no gain mean muscles nt joints if you doing bensh press nd your joints hurting u have to stop that nt account as no pain no gain ,just to be clear ...to me i dnt belive vic costa or rico or anybody anyone try to sell his product of course he will tell u goina have big triceps in 2 weeks nd if u see them they work all them life to have trecips or biceps like that nd they come tellin you in 2 weeks
im not selling a product. I'm selling knowledge. Who said 2 weeks??????? It's a lifestyle bro. It certainly doesnt take a lifetime to be healthy either. Anyone who follows my lifestyle will see marked improvements in their body and health
@totalhealth4life product it doesnt mean just container or box.or...., knowledge its a product too ....but i just dnt believe ...cuz anybody try to sell what he have nd theres no share

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. See whoever you want but who would want to "hang out" with a guy who is a negative and surfs you tube to make idiotic comments? Grow up
if u keep working at it, your muscles should compensate on their own. however if the problem does not soon stop then using dumbbells will force each side of your body to lift its own weight. i would say do everything the same but instead use dumbells instead of barbells (i.e. skull crusher with dumbells,
lol, it just cracks me up when the tanks come in the gym dressed in all kinds of fashion and styles. I have seen a guy come in once with acrtic soldier cammo cargo pants and tank top, wearing a wollen cap while using flip flops.
Besides the way you dress bro, no offence, your video is very helpful for the newer guys
i'm just starting out and after 1 week of exercising my muscle doesnt ache after a workout after my normal routine.. does that mean i'm not pushing myself hard enough? should the muscle ache after every workout no matter for beginners or veterans?
yes, it does mean you're doing something wrong. maybe you have poor form so you aren't using the right muscle. after awhile your muscles won't get that sore feeling but if you're just starting out then you should get sore. this will take awhile though, 5+ months before your body no longer gets sore. but, remember you do NOT have to be sore to gain muscle. That is an old myth. I've been lifting for a year now, I never get sore anymore and last week I weighed 182 and this week I weighed 188
thanks for advice.. but how do u get ur muscles to build at an equal rate? my dominant side seems to be more developed den the other?? (eg right arm bigger den left) i have to now compensate for the less developed side
when you do lifts that require both arms try to focus most of your strength on your left arm. when you do lifts that are each arm, over the head dumbell extentions for example, start out on your left arm. when alternating you always want to start with your weaker side. triceps tire very easily, so make sure you do whatever you did in your right arm, equally to your left arm.
@swlryan i dont really know that much, i'm only 15, but i've always been told to never try to compensate because your weaker side should have to work harder to do the same amount of work
No No No No No!! I disagree. No pain no gain. when the pain is gone work it one more time. Go see Vic Costa I Have used his instruction for about four months now. I have been lifting for over two years . and in the last four months I have seen mind blowing results. Do not waste Your time Bro.
No pain no gain only applies when you are lifting in the gym. Not the day after. You shouldn't be sore the day after. I've seen Vic, he is in incredible shape and he knows a lot. But some of his workout instructions I disliked. Like the dumbbell row, he said it's a two part motion but it's not. He said you want to drop your shoulder which is exactly what you don't want to do as it can cause poor form and will put stress on your arms when you want to keep it on your back.
@pojo205 what you mean by you shouldnt get sore day after workingout .what mean sore to you ??its something normal that when you work any muscles in your body you put a lot stress on it and then get sore and believe me if you workingout on biceps or triceps or anymuscles on your body so good and day after you feel sore believe me that you were working out good on that muscle.i dnt believe nobody cuz all of them try to sell them product go to gym if u dnt knw ask poeple in gym they ll tell u
I don't get advice from people who work for the gym, I get advice from the people on the weight floor who know what's bullshit and what isn't.
I probably should've cleared it up but you shouldn't get sore when your relaxing. You should get that sore feeling when you try and stretch the muscle, because then you're pulling on those micro tears in the muscle.
@fawda283 He corrects himself on the little text box on screen. You try explaining how to do workouts and explain different muscles n stuff on camera while you've already been working out...
most serious lifters are in about 5-6 days a week. But It depends on what you are trying to do. I usually go 3-4 times a week and alternate my workout between front day (chest, biceps, front delts, abs) and back day.
Best to do it in pairs as you aching muscles and DOMs can be ingnored and avoided. e.g. Shoulders and Tris, Back and Bis, Chest and Abs, and 1 full session for legs, as when done properly they take a lot of energy.
Training this way prevents DoMs from bothering you as if you do bis n tris, and next day do back n chest, your bis n tris are still repairing.
Alway remember legs, but you can get away with doing a good full session 1ce evry 2 weeks
I have been told by serious lifters not to heavy lift for more than an hour and a half. The lactic acid builds up in your muscles and you have what is know as a plateau effect, where your muscles pretty much max out their potential.
i dont know the correct trem in english but from german translated they are called: long, middle and side head. this is the dircet translation from german
medial, lateral and long, one of them dont realy show, the two main heads you notice on developed tris are lateral and long, but you wont need to know this realy, just focus on the 2 and the medial is always worked along with them
he says for every exercise, does that mean every time u start with different machine you start with 1 set of 20 low weight reps? Isn't 1 set with one exercise right at the start of the workout enough?
hi guys.... need help....been training for an year now....just cant figure out a way to get those triceps developed... even a little.... i do cable pushdown 5X12
dumbell single arm extension 3X10..skull crushers 3X10
kickbacks 3X10... work out the muscle only once a week.... i also make sure i dont do chest or shoulders anywhere near the tricep workout..... STILL NO FREAKING RESULTS.... ANY HELP....THANKS
I had great results with tricep dips on the bench. Try it with some variations and as Markbroadfoot said change your workout up all 8-12 weeks. And keep on eating ;)
I know this might sound dumb but are you taking sufficient protein? I might consider lowering rep range btw. Idk personally ive seen growth the most from close grip bench press and skull crushers. I obviously switch around but yeah..and make your rest time very little. Hope this helps at all.
ha actually I have a sticker on my car now "jacked on the juice" !!! lol.......Mona Vie that is! I've got the energy I had as a freaking teenager now!
Had I have used machines instead of free weights 20 years ago I wouldn't have torn a few 'strategic' ligaments that still after all this time never healed properly and make working out very difficult. I have machines now as I have no choice and have to isolate muscle groups just to be able to train at all. I'm so glad you show exercises for machines. Now there is no excuse to do what I can and I'm enjoying it all after having given up 20 years ago. All thanks to your crock pot video I found :)
i use free at the regular gym but your body doesnt know if you are using either one! Its not about free or machines...it all about the INTENSITY you use!!!!!!!!!
Actually your body does know if you use them... It's called stabilization musculature. Machines typically have a bad carry-over to other exercises because they're in a fixed position, and your stabilizing musculature gets left behind.
Which makes absolute sense, especially for people with crappy stabilizers or severe muscle imbalances to begin their training with machines; getting bodies acclimated to movements with resistance...Great advice!
Rico, I just bought a home gym and thanks for making this video and explaining about the different heads of the triceps muscle and showing the 2 exercises that I will now be able to do with the pull down cable bar on the home gym machine. Also I just subscribed to your channel, your videos are great. I like the crock pot cooking one too.
i know that. I had a brain freeze and didnt want to remake the video shoot. Do you feel like a big man insulting me? I'm pretty sure you wouldnt say it to my face......but hiding behind your computer you have a lot of balls dont u? There are two kinds of people ..positive and negative. Which one are you?
Total health4 life you are like a icon to me. You have a great personality and you are very postive. I watch all you videos and it expanded my knowledge. Dont listen to these negative punks, I just wanted to let you know that you are a good person and thanks for posting videos and sharing your routines and tips
My purpose is to help all of you achieve a high level of health and become resistant to disease!! Happiness and health baby! Thanks so much. When I get responses like this it makes my many hours of work worth it!!!!!!!!!!!! All the best, my friend!
I agree. People actually interested in getting healthy and care about how they feel within themselves find your videos very helpful. They have helped me so much in terms of motivating me to eat well AND getting proper results out of my workouts. Thanks.
how come i've heard of so many heart attacks from people not even in thier 30s yet and they worked out with creatine and the doctors told them the heart attack was because of it i mean im not tryin to bash ya i agree with everything u say in ur vids just not that i just thought id let ya kno but its your body so hope the best of luck to ya
Dude that's freaky because I have gotten those two names a lot in the last several years, although I think I look NOTHING like them. I take it as a compliment though! LOL
Thanks for this video. I am going to work out more on my triceps.I have lost some much weight in my arms that the triceps are getting flabby. But the other part of my arms are real nice.
Whats up Rico. Love the vids. You said every exercise warm up with low weight and hi reps. does that go 4 lower body exercises also? And does working out (or in my case trying to get ripped) help for a sport like b-ball? Last question is b-ball cardio too? Thanks dude.
Yes do that in the first set for all body parts. Gets the blood to that muscle. Getting lean and toned will help for any sport but maybe swimming. Stay flexible.
I have been lifting for about a year now and I do these triceps workouts that are almost exactly like kickbacks except but instead of bringing the weight up and kicking back I just bring the weight up and down in the exact same position as the kickbacks with one hand and one knee on the bench. Is that workout any good?
wud it really make a big difference if i stretched before each one, and did some cardio, also i dont go to the gym i try do my stuff at home do u know any other good tricep excercises apart from dips? thanks dude nice vids fuck the haters!
its very hard to achieve symmetry of all your muscles without going to the gym. Even at home you'd need dumbbells and other equipment. It depends on how healthy you want to be and the sacrifices you're willing to make to achieve great health.
one more thing...when could i work out my shoulders??? i always do a back/biceps day...chest/triceps day....leg/ab day....i know my shoulders get worked as a secondary muscle for some of them but when could i isolate them and work on just the shoulders
No.....slim to none. If you dont eat right your body won't be in a state ready for muscle growth....you'll be catabolic......eating up your muscle for energy
But it's hard to change, i don't make the food, my parents does. And it's hard to really change, i don't eat vegetables because it tastes really bad.. I did workout for 2 months one time, and i noticed a difference. So it's alot easier if you eat well but i can still get muscles. my weight is about 103 kilo, so it's alot. My weight is balanced over the whole body. If you really recommend me to begin eating more vegetables i will try to.
fruits and vegetables are very high in fiber, antioxidants and other health benefits.......it is how everyone should eat....natural! and if you don't eat protein at every meal you won't be able to build much muscle mass

I had great results with tricep dips on the bench. Try it with some variations and as Markbroadfoot said change your workout up all 8-12 weeks. And keep on eating ;)
Zunderberg87 2 years ago
I know this might sound dumb but are you taking sufficient protein? I might consider lowering rep range btw. Idk personally ive seen growth the most from close grip bench press and skull crushers. I obviously switch around but yeah..and make your rest time very little. Hope this helps at all.

triceps are the main arm muscle so big triceps = big arms. do kick backs, close grip bench press and dips.

AussieSteve001 2 years ago
i use free at the regular gym but your body doesnt know if you are using either one! Its not about free or machines...it all about the INTENSITY you use!!!!!!!!!
totalhealth4life 2 years ago
Actually your body does know if you use them... It's called stabilization musculature. Machines typically have a bad carry-over to other exercises because they're in a fixed position, and your stabilizing musculature gets left behind.
Mongoelg 2 years ago
machines isolate better just because of what you said! Thats why i use a mixture of both
totalhealth4life 2 years ago
Which makes absolute sense, especially for people with crappy stabilizers or severe muscle imbalances to begin their training with machines; getting bodies acclimated to movements with resistance...Great advice!
nolanj23 2 years ago 2
If done correctly free weights should not hurt you.
Mongoelg 2 years ago
This faggot gives terrible advice.

you must be looking in the mirror....1700 people dont think so you moron......i'd love to see your picture!!!!! LMAO

I found two errors with your sentence. He's not a pile of sticks, he's a human being. Also, his advice is good, not terrible.

Thanks for this video. I am going to work out more on my triceps.I have lost some much weight in my arms that the triceps are getting flabby. But the other part of my arms are real nice.
2mariebl 3 years ago
Whats up Rico. Love the vids. You said every exercise warm up with low weight and hi reps. does that go 4 lower body exercises also? And does working out (or in my case trying to get ripped) help for a sport like b-ball? Last question is b-ball cardio too? Thanks dude.
Bigcee20 3 years ago
Yes do that in the first set for all body parts. Gets the blood to that muscle. Getting lean and toned will help for any sport but maybe swimming. Stay flexible.
totalhealth4life 3 years ago
good info and demonstrations..im going to try that tricep supersize my next tricep day
madness410 3 years ago
i love that one
totalhealth4life 3 years ago
I have been lifting for about a year now and I do these triceps workouts that are almost exactly like kickbacks except but instead of bringing the weight up and kicking back I just bring the weight up and down in the exact same position as the kickbacks with one hand and one knee on the bench. Is that workout any good?
koltonkj26 3 years ago
Im not sure what you are describing. Kickbacks require absolute form which most people can't do......My exercises are pretty simple to do.
totalhealth4life 3 years ago
2:36 lol..Triceps have 4 heads??That is incorrect though!It has 3.

for the 2nd excercise, should ur elbows be striaght forward or it dont matter?
babyoil1 3 years ago
you just go the way of the arc of the bar
totalhealth4life 3 years ago
wud it really make a big difference if i stretched before each one, and did some cardio, also i dont go to the gym i try do my stuff at home do u know any other good tricep excercises apart from dips? thanks dude nice vids fuck the haters!
dillan94P 3 years ago
its very hard to achieve symmetry of all your muscles without going to the gym. Even at home you'd need dumbbells and other equipment. It depends on how healthy you want to be and the sacrifices you're willing to make to achieve great health.
totalhealth4life 3 years ago
one more thing...when could i work out my shoulders??? i always do a back/biceps day...chest/triceps day....leg/ab day....i know my shoulders get worked as a secondary muscle for some of them but when could i isolate them and work on just the shoulders
Crippled99 3 years ago
(Didn't have enough room)
Also it would be good if you recommend supplements, like Kreatin or something( i know it increases weight).
Blezzan1 3 years ago
i use creatine ethyl ester, glutamine and BCAAs
totalhealth4life 3 years ago
what kind of protein u take ? and why
imherelol 3 years ago
I eat wrong, train each part of the body each week, no supplements O.O Any chance?
Blezzan1 3 years ago
No.....slim to none. If you dont eat right your body won't be in a state ready for muscle growth....you'll be catabolic......eating up your muscle for energy
totalhealth4life 3 years ago
But it's hard to change, i don't make the food, my parents does. And it's hard to really change, i don't eat vegetables because it tastes really bad.. I did workout for 2 months one time, and i noticed a difference. So it's alot easier if you eat well but i can still get muscles. my weight is about 103 kilo, so it's alot. My weight is balanced over the whole body. If you really recommend me to begin eating more vegetables i will try to.
Blezzan1 3 years ago
fruits and vegetables are very high in fiber, antioxidants and other health benefits.......it is how everyone should eat....natural! and if you don't eat protein at every meal you won't be able to build much muscle mass
