  • wow remember being in the old hospital with my son, he was allergic to mosquitoes...Not a good thing in Fairbanks!!!!! He would swell up like a balloon! The Docs and Nurses would walk by us looking at us in the room wanting to know if we hit him or something.. until the swelling went down and you could see the mosquito bites....

  • i was born there

  • i used to live on pine st. as a kid, just down from the old hospital if i remember right; it was a minty kind of green.

  • Loved seeing the new Bassett Hospital! I was there 1961-1963 as military brat. I have some home movies on youtube showing the Ft. Wainwright Housing Area and Downtown Fairbanks. Would love to see more of how the new housing quarters and housing looks like now. If you shoot any...drive slow wide angle views and such. I lived directly across from McKinley Elementary back then...

  • It's Bassett Army Community Hospital. Brand new, $186 million dollar building.

  • Very nice video, when I was there from 86-90 they still had the old hospital across the street from the shopette. I lived on wainwright on 9th st.
