The owners are making a big profit with this joke of an organazion. As long as there is no salary cap in baseball and MLB does nothing about owners like the Pirates owners, baseball will always be the worst sport to watch.
Vince Lascheid was one of the finest stadium organists ever.
His death in March of this year from complications of alzheimer's disease was a blow to Pittsburgh sports fans, who listened to him tickle the ivories at Pittsburgh Pirates (both at Three Rivers Stadium and at PNC Park) and Pittsburgh Penguins games (at the Mellon Arena) for some 30 years.
man the memories...loved 3rs...i was always there in the 80s on sundays when you could get a general admission for a dollar and by the 5th inning were down on the 1st base side...
@Pirates666 I don't understand it. It's the best stadium, it's a great town, and all I can do is live in '79. The ownership with all their dollars can't get any players? It's nothing but a business to them. If the Twins, Cardinals, Tampa, that dump Philly, Cinci this year, can get in, what's the excuse? I know, fire the manager, bring a new one in and hire a new one as if it's progress.
@StanBennet i was just minding my own buisness watching old stadium videos and i saw your comment and decided to respond to it, problem? you said "that dump philly"
That organ is still the same in PNC PARK!!! Boy thos seats down the rightfield line in the corner sucked...you can see by this video how much bettr PNC is now!!
anyone who would want Three Rivers over PNC Park is an idiot!

If there was a 6 inning 10 run rule in effect in the big leagues many buc games would not have a 7th inning stretch.

This brings back memories. I saw my first baseball game ever here. A combined no hitter in 1983. What a time...
