Absolutely used to love this guy. Mr Perfect described him to a T. Deliberate and sneeky. He made his opponents look like play things. A great looking lady wrestler had that sort of style. Not sure if it was WWF though. They would have made an awsome tag team.
@gradilla323 They never had tapouts until Ken Shamrock came to WWF, the ref would just ask the opponet if he/she gave up and they would nod their heads for yes or shake their heads for no
@pladampa wrong...Tapouts were never introduced to wrestling until after UFC took off, LOOK up any match from the 80s, and nobody was tapping the mat to get a submission
@AssholeFromCanada not 100% sure on this but i thought it was introduced by Tazz because of hid judo experience. But that being said he was no wear close to being the first pro wrestler who had a black belt in judo.
@law101 WWF Tag belts as Smash of Demolition...NWA tag belts as Krusher Kruezchef with Ivan Koloff...and alot of belts around various territories. Shame he got shit gimmics after Demolition...He was a better wrestler than most of the main eventers...
in the independents he was known as Chris Chavis (his real name). When brought to WWF, *before* debuting, even in WWF Magazine he was referred to as Chris Chavis and for a short time he was called "The Native American Chris Chavis who was given the native name Tatanka" etc etc and eventually just "Tatanka" ...when signing autographs he would write CHRIS CHAVIS and under it TATANKA. he was/is VERY proud of his heritage bytheway!
For such a corny gimmick, from the two matches I've seen of him he seemed pretty brutal, dragging this guy around by his neck and his debut he tied the guy up in the ropes with his hooks and slammed him.
