i saw olof arnalds in a small venue in reykjavik about a month ago. (any icelanders reading this: it was a green house in that large park by laugavegur.) it was such an intimate experience, and she had a quite lovely performance.

She is an artist and as i tought, open minded as well but she started to comment some political issues she has no clue about and that changes the picture of her as an artist. Very sorry about that but now she is just the world wide celebrity and nothing more...Sorry for bad language...Vaya Con Dios Bjork...

we all sprout political opinions we may not have a clue about ive heard her say nothing different to a lot of political ecological activists at all.

she is a lot more than a world wide celebrity, which was anyway before her political commentary.

@PrincePaulus , it is ok to have political opinion but its wrong to be politically engaged. She didnt say that opinion to one person but publically. That didnt affect her music but changed picture of her as a person. And she probbably never heard for that small country she mentioned. Now she can act like Angelina Jolly...(and Bono)...

@eraskozita Good for her that she talked back to that CEO from Magma Energy. Those multinationals only want to pilfer Island's resources. And good for her that spoke about the independence movements in the Faroe Islands and Kosovo. She has taken responsibility as a public figure to be a voice of conscience.

If you don't agree with her, you should argue for your positions rather than trying to discredit her by saying she's "out of line" or something like that.
